That was a VERY enjoyable bit of documentation for someone like myself, a bit of a Porsche geek, I absolutely love the cars and Franks passion and the fact that he does tours and track driving etc thank you collecting cars 😊more Porsche please
This guy is my idol. So much of what he says chimes with my own attitudes to cars, engineering etc.. Fascinating to watch having just been to the Megaphonics event at the weekend which was superb by the way.
I rarely put any videos I watch in my favorites, but I put this one in there right away, great video, great guest interview and vehicles, thank you for producing and posting.
Chris Harris is the GOAT but I really genuinely like this James guy he’s entertaining enough not over the top and really knows how to keep the focus on the car and this case the person being interviewed
At 6:30 you stated that 1989 was the only year that came with the G50. Are you specifically speaking of European Turbo variants? The reason I ask is because my US Spec 1987 has a G50....but it's only a Carrera. Totally different animal, but this would be an interesting tidbit that I didn't know. Thanks.
That embarrassing story would have made it more interesting still. I would have told that one. Crashing or almost crashing is always a good one to talk about...
He’s referring to the overall look matching a specific aesthetic, not the engineering or basic design of the sheds. As he goes in-depth explaining what he’s talking about, he’s discussing the electrical being surface-mounted, the color of the steel and other such surface treatments. Not that I really needed to expound, but this whole video is one big pedantic exercise so there you are.
Hey Frank. I'm modding a US WTL and started down the same path of making it reversible but I'm losing faith about the point in doing that. Do you think we'll be able to drive these freely in 10 to 15 years time? Have converted to 2wd with a 993 trans, suspension brakes and wheels next. Do you have any experience with the Tractive coil-overs?
Nice visuals with a backdrop of beautiful Porsche. I admire Frank's passion but after 10 mins found myself focusing on the one downside....when you have someone who talks that much and at a very strong pace it would be so much more enjoyable if he could slow down a bit, lose a bunch of the 'umms' and introduce intonation, just too monotone for me to enjoy this as I wanted to. Watch Chris Harris.
I'm late to the game in watching this but anyone know what system of battery charging he is using. I have a number of cars I want to keep charged and wondering what is best setup to use.
I thought I'd love this... But I came away thinking... this guys reminds me of the sort of person that's trying so hard to be the coolest guy in the countryside that he's a parody of himself. Bit unlikable, like MrJWW.
NCB.....think your trying to hard ......maybe a bit unlikeable.......yeah definitely unlikeable!! guys love this dudes spot on and keep doing what your doing👏👏....#welovejameswalker😎
I guess you have kids or you end up with an expensive building full of many expensive cars in the most expensive part of rural Britain surrounded by the wealthiest people imaginable. Jealous ? Yes
Love everything about this video, except it's "Porsc-ah" I'm kind of blown away that someone who is so invested in P cars doesn't get the name right 😅.
Those that are truly into 911s and Porsche in general will appreciate this content about this collection with supporting history + details. That's the purpose.
How can you call yourself a Porsche collector, and still not pronounce it properly? It's infuriating, how you some of you Brits and Americans are butchering his Ferdinand porsche.
I can't see these members driving Italian. Too bad because life begins at 200! Live a little and cross over because emotion is truly the driving factor for sporting enthusiast street cars!! If you're talking track, well, it's a toss-up.

Rare individual who follows his true passion, bravo!
Very cool video and collection. Frank is truly one of us!
What an absolute weapon. Those who know , know. Can't believe this came up on my news feed . Amazing video 😆🥰
This guy is my idol. So much of what he says chimes with my own attitudes to cars, engineering etc.. Fascinating to watch having just been to the Megaphonics event at the weekend which was superb by the way.
Mr JWW got jacked 🤣 nice video, got to love passion for old Porsche 👍🏽
Pass the tissues missus! I'm drooling over a great collection of Porsche history coupled withdiverse scope of driving fun
Personally found this a great chat between James and Frank. Thanks for sharing!
@Jonathan Benjamin .. +1 .. Agreed, great discussion ...
I rarely put any videos I watch in my favorites, but I put this one in there right away, great video, great guest interview and vehicles, thank you for producing and posting.
Is that beard and glasses a disguise or a Fidel costume?
Not to be rude in any way, I would of deeply preferred this if Harris was doing it..
🤣
I’d have liked it if it had a different interviewer, talking to someone else, in a different location.
Chris Harris is the GOAT but I really genuinely like this James guy he’s entertaining enough not over the top and really knows how to keep the focus on the car and this case the person being interviewed
I love silly rings on my hands. When I find one, I buy it but only if it is original. I like to make memories with my rings and I fill up my fingers.
😂🤣
Frank is a cracking bloke, miss our Clubhouse chats 👍🏻
Frank is a good dude and his 993 turbo is amazing.
Sick vid. Can you please do another one at Megaphonics this weekend.

This guy can talk a bit , but everything he has to say is extremely interesting !👍🏻
Totally agree , touring the alps is tremendous driving
That embarrassing story would have made it more interesting still.
I would have told that one.
Crashing or almost crashing is always a good one to talk about...
Great story. What is the owners background?
Would love to know how someone his age was able to finance all this loveliness.
He owned an electronic wholesaler and I guess it was very sucessful as his Porsche collection grew when he sold it, I believe.
@@SpencerF6 I'm not convinced about that story. Maybe i'm just jealous.
lol this bloke is hilarious.... 'when I designed these buildings....' Mate, they are portal frame sheds.
Okay.

Look at the buildings they are unique once he got through customizing them
Say I’m jealous without saying I’m jealous 😂😂
How many buildings have you 'designed'?
need chris for these type of vids
nope

Wonderful collection.
Imagine Frank in the same room as Magnus Walker. The rapture would begin.
I think he fancies himself as the UKs answer to Magnus. (I know Magnus is a Brit. 😉)
@@marky9117 exactly that, the whole look appears totally affected

Wow. You must be a psychologist? Or just a bit jealous I don't know.
I like both maybe it's you that is the problem
NCB.....think your trying to hard ......maybe a bit unlikeable.......yeah definitely unlikeable!! guys love this dudes spot on and keep doing what your doing👏👏....#welovejameswalker😎
I don't agree, totally, I do know what you mean.
I guess you have kids or you end up with an expensive building full of many expensive cars in the most expensive part of rural Britain surrounded by the wealthiest people imaginable. Jealous ? Yes
I can’t watch this without jealousy overwhelming. Apologies.
Pronounced "boxangass-a" - which is actually the pit lane 😉
"boxengass-e".
beautiful collection. Just hate the fact that they're just sitting there when it should be out on the track :(
cool
Air cool life 😎
Ooo rich people!!!!!
Love everything about this video, except it's "Porsc-ah" I'm kind of blown away that someone who is so invested in P cars doesn't get the name right 😅.
How do you pronounce Paris?😁
😍😍😍
What is the purpose of just talking, talking and talking with no content?
Those that are truly into 911s and Porsche in general will appreciate this content about this collection with supporting history + details. That's the purpose.
If he loves Porsche so much and proclaims to be such a diehard fan, perhaps he should learn to pronounce the brand name correctly. It's not hard.
Do you know how many people pronounce it like that? Gatekeeping will only keep more enthusiasts away.
Who cares? We all know what he's means
How can you call yourself a Porsche collector, and still not pronounce it properly?
It's infuriating, how you some of you Brits and Americans are butchering his Ferdinand porsche.
We also don’t call Germany Deutschland… go figure…
@@stanl1979 Because it's in the Books... Ask Benjamin, the official Porsche press speaker What he think about the "Porscha" prononciation...
I hope you pronounce Paris like the French do.😜
a lot of arse licking in this video, where's CHRIS!?!? What a waste. James is not a car or a Porsche enthusiast..a bit disappointing really
What a colossally pretentious vanity project.
🎯
Interesting collection for a very dull man
I can't see these members driving Italian. Too bad because life begins at 200! Live a little and cross over because emotion is truly the driving factor for sporting enthusiast street cars!! If you're talking track, well, it's a toss-up.
Lots of blabla. Some cars are fine.
😴
Not this guy again. Hard pass
Edit: referring to the super hipster who thinks he’s the worlds coolest guy.
@@overbuiltlimited Agreed, truly awful. Intergalactically pretentious. Unbelievably boring.
At the risk of sounding negative yeah I have to agree
He's very hard to stomach
I'm so bored of Porsches lol
Porsche is renowned for a reason. It's simple, don't watch Porsche videos if you're not interested instead of aimlessly whining in the comments.
Frank is cool but the Collecting Cars guy is like a deer caught in headlights, totally has no clue about Porsche, sack him.
