The best way to roam within Almaty is through Yandex. It's very cheap and convinient. you can book yandex taxi just on the click through their app. Other locations, i.e. Aktua, Singing Dunes, Cheryl Canyon, kolsay, Kaindy, etc. are very far from Almaty. So it is better to plan it through any local travel agent for 1 day tour/2 day tour as per your preference. Try to stay one night in Saty Village to experience the local culture closely!
