I’m actually having to water regularly it has not rained as they said but again in a few days they tell us. I wanted to try putting out a few tomato plants today but it’s too hot 🤦🏼♀️

I hope these look as good as the pictures 🙏. He/she was a garter snake 🐍 we get them a lot but not normally in the greenhouse 🤭. We just ate them to the fence line as there’s a huge field beside us. I will trade your rain 🌧️ for sure, we got a bit of rain last night but 50k winds, then back to sunny today. Luckily no damage though. Gerald got his hug 🤗 thank you 🙏

It’s been soaking wet here all weekend, of course it is we went camping 🤦🏼♀️. It actually snowed coming back through one of the mountain passes. Not got a lot done this week so not sure what I’ll post. Hope you are both well and June has a great time away. You will catch up in no time Robbo 🥰

I do like my hidden gnomes in the small bushes though but they have seen better days. My sister lives in the Netherlands now and got us a cheeky one peeing against something but his poor hat has broke off! lol
Definitely need to take note of your idea, if that is ok and bring some colour back in. Green and brown gets a bit samey and we mainly have yellow or orange flowers. I wish my purple alliums, sweet peas and hydrangeas lasted a bit longer.
We don't have much space in our London, UK based garden but i like the idea of coloured trellis and bits and bobs of all year round of colour.
Is the high fence for deers? We get a lot of urban foxes and rats here.

It super cold in the morning Dora we have actually had some minus temps but normal April weather resumes Wednesday 😜 a week or more of rain (of course we are going camping 🏕️). Soon we can all complain about the heat 🤭🤭

I think we have had more fluctuations in the weather than the 1930’s stock market 😜. Some days started at my us 1c and ended up at 26c, but today we finally got some much needed rains. And as we all know slugs l e the rain so first time out today found 19 of them 🤦🏼♀️. Hope your having a wonderful day and happy weekend everyone 🥰

We have them a lot just not in my greenhouse, luckily although Gerald screams like a girl at spiders 🕷️ he’s ok with snakes 🐍. Yes we’re they not driven out by St Patrick 🍀🍀. I see people struggling with hose issues so it was a gentle and hopefully helpful reminder. Can’t wait for summer blooms but this week it’s pouring rain 🌧️🌧️. Sun has gone and it’s 12c and overcast but alas still no rain 🌧️ although 90% chance we get a bit later. I chucked my tomatoes 🍅 out and luckily they had a few nice days of weather 🤞. I think other than squash and cucumbers I’m actually finished sowing. Well except succession sowing 👍. Have a fantastic week ahead 🥰

We love beans and they are so easy to freeze come fall. Funny enough I don’t like runner or rubber beans as I call them 🤭🤭. But red swan dwarf 😋😋😋. Still time to sow more I was sowing beans until July last summer for late Oct harvests. I may have gone a wee bit overboard with bulbs but they are perennial so I should be ok for a bit 😜. We have an acre on a corner so it is quite large and I 🤭🤭 keep pushing the boundaries of “my” area. A new group of pots needs a fence 🤔🫣 right. I don’t do a lot of spending I’ve never been a clothes or shoe girlie girl so I spend my money on my garden 👍. I will make sure to show lads of flowers come summer. What is the prune, non prune potatoes?
We are already hearing if massive wild fires 🔥 it’s the earliest ever. Just to see if keeping the potatoes foliage under control helps with yield. 😜 it’s basically just for fun I had a few smaller taters left over (Cheiftain Red).

I have so many squash to do for myself and daughters sis in law that I didn’t want to put them in pots and have to wait to see if they germinate. About half of them are germinated and getting a tail so I can pot these up and wait for the others. Tomorrow is supposed to be the last sunny day and then rain on and off for a week. We are totally ok with that as idiots have already sadly started forest fires by sheer stupidity. Weather around the is insane at the moment so I’m ok with what we are getting even if it is super cold at night. Have a wonderful week and happy growing 👨🌾👨🌾

It has rained once this week 🤦🏼♀️ and now sunny but supposedly starting Wednesday we will have rain for a few days (maybe just not all day). I have lift off on the herbs but it’s keeping them alive I struggle with 🤞. Hope the celery does well for you, even growing in the house in a pot you could cut and come again I suppose. Once it warms up I may put 2 in the ground or in big pots. Have a marvellous week and don’t work too hard 🥰
Love the Ladybird door stop. Will be following your prune, no prune experiment as never heard heard of this before. Now that is a lot of Gladioli and a lot of peony, good luck with that lot, I have no sucess with Peonies. Not funny with the lack of rain Ali. El Nino is fading so perhaps it will go back to normal for all of us.
I think it’s fun to push the growing envelope and I’ll keep you posted. I found with peonies if you bury the crown even a fraction of an inch too low they don’t flower. The old ones I have didn’t flower for years u til someone told me that and I dug up and planted shallower 👍👍. Tiny rain last night but 50k wind too 🤦🏼♀️. Hopefully it will as you say settle down soon, have a fantastic week Mike 🙏

But it absolutely poured it down with rain 😅. Got soaked getting it on as it pooled with water 😂. This weather needs to do one now. Im very envious of your warmer weather 😂.

Sorry I’m slow to reply Sox we were away camping and internet was bla, it poured rain and also snowed on the way back. Teddy Bear were all over last year the bees just love them and they don’t take up loads of room. So much all of a sudden needs attention doesn’t it but we always seem to manage 👍. Hi Ali, great update. That's a great tip for the seed chitting. I'm going to have a go at that with most of my larger seeds as it is so annoying filling pot for seeds that don't germinate. I will happily send you some of our rain clouds. It didn't rain today but we had a cold wind. No rain tomorrow either YAY so much to do as always. I divided about 300 seedling and repotted or planted out a ton already... Seedling shuffle is in full swing lol Take care for now Ali
I’m chuffed most of the seeds have come out and now I’m potting them up💪. We are enjoying the sunshine but we already have (not near us) forest fires out of control 😥 but rain 🌧️ is supposed to be here for a few days. Hi Ali. Great to see you have got some lovely weather over there. It's like going from one extreme to another but we will all get there in the end. Lots of lovely bulbs and plants you have there. It's annoying when you don't get the plant you bought but something else. I think I might buy some peonies myself. Some are scented. Peonies are gorgeous just have to remember don’t bury the crown, it for smell there is nothing better than tree lillies. Hi Cous don't prune the potatoes 😮, I did last year and they got a disease. If you do replant what you cut off.👌👍🥔😊 Wipe the knife after each cut if you do.👌 Tuscan kale 💪

It’s awful when you watch back at how much you say it 😜 but it’s reality and I don’t do much editing. Gerald has a girlish fear of spiders 🕷️ he actually screams BT snakes oh here let me get that out of there 👍🐍. Yes we need rain desperately it’s already fire season up northerly from us 😭😭 and doesn’t look well for the summer.

I assume the bulbs will be ok now the squirrel 🐿️ population has other things to eat 🫣. I would gladly trade a bit of rain for some sun we have been hearing fires already around the province and Alberta 😭😭. It is a garter snake 🐍 we get lots but not normally in the greenhouse. I will for sure pop over that will be cool. Tom looked so happy with the girls he should be on video more often but if he’s anything like Gerald a cameo occasionally is all he’ll do 😂

No mocking Mother Nature is on your side 😜😜 it’s been pouring rain for a few days and of course for,the first time since Covid we are going camping 🤦🏼♀️. Supposed to rain for another week but with threats of an even worse fire season we are ok with soaking the land. Bulbs all in let’s hope they all bloom. We have snakes all the time just not normally in my greenhouse 😂, they are quite harmless and I tell myself they eat slugs 👍. Have a super weekend and stay warm 🥰

Could it be birds going for the straw in the hangers? They do like straw for nesting....the coco liners I use.
Celery is fab. Full sun is ok but they love water in the heat of summer. They do ok in part shade or in the dappled shade of other plants.
Oh never thought of that there are little birds and crows everywhere making nests 🪹. Great info about the celery I may keep in big pots so I can water on the patio as it’s most likely going to be a scorcher summer again (already forest fires 🔥).
Looks like you are on a roll and forging ahead. I think we most probably all like opening parcels . We've got a couple of dry days before, yet more rain 😭😱. Was that a garter snake, I had a couple as pets about 50 years ago. Take care and stay well
It is funny how we love opening bulb packages even though they just look like dried up potatoes 🥔😜. It rained last night and 50k winds but today back to sunny and cold. Yes a garter snake 🐍, many many hmm many years ago my daughter had a boa. I ended up with it so they don’t bother me thank goodness. Have a fab week Colin thank you for your continued support 🙏
Great video Ali and i'm jealous about your weather though us over here where i live on the Wirral in England the weather is mixed, it's Tuesday the 23rd and it was a nice sunny day yesterday and the weekend was the same, and this week up to Friday will be nice as well, so it looks like you sent us some sun Thanks but then the weather turns back to normal with the crappy rain, i would send you some rain but i can't afford the postage 😂😂

It has been good and bad Barry, lovely to be out in, super cold nights so seed shuffling and already evacuation orders in some areas due to wild fires (luckily not near us). I think I may need to look into edible cactus 😜😜 going forward. We are however due rain for the next 10 days just not constant (of course we are going camping 🏕️ so it’s going to rain). I can understand the postage and it’s ok 🤭 I’ll wait for Christmas 🎄 to get me present 🎁. Have a super week and hope it’s warm 🌞🌞🌞

Where you use the cartons from Greek food, i use the Chinese curry cartons. I am loving having a walk around with you Ali, but i do hope you get some rain very soon. I can’t believe how slow leeks are, first growing elephant leeks and hopefully they do well. Any excuse for a takeaway 😜😜, some of them chitted already and are in their first pots. Are bush beans same as dwarf cause I found them tedious to harvest 😅 but then I find harvesting tiring. 😨 😮snakes scare me. are you sure they are the american snake. Also please speak to the sun 🌞 and ask them to visit us in the Uk please. What was the temperature?
Yes I believe they are the same Stella I like them because I can just grab the entire plant if it’s full of beans 🫘 and that clears a spot and harvests at the same time. We love beans so I grow loads. These are garter snakes and we have lots of them but they are harmless to everyone except I am hoping they eat slugs 🤭🤭 I will send the sunshine over because he’s letting brother rain hang around here for a week 👍. It ranges from minus 1c in the morning to 25c yesterday 🌞
