This video is a deep-dive on the topic of leather and contains tips to texture better leather using Substance Painter. We start with a bit of theory as to the different layers that constitute leather and then move on to put that knowledge in practice within Substance Painter.

Once again, great video. Loved the way you convey story to your texture work.
(Also your pace for explaining is really on point)

I learnt 2 things, which I didnt know before at all, 1) That light brown layer is called Suede and 2) Worenoi means Worley noise. Thx :)

Thanks for watching and taking the time to write a comment! The exact term is Voronoi. Both Worley and Voronoi are name references to mathematicians/researchers. I don't think the distinction really matters to us artists but I'm sure if you were to ask a mathematician they'd point out all the differences.

Hello...love your work.. but are you standing while working? Is standing while working beneficial for artist anyhow?

I have a sitting/standing desk which I bring up and down a few times during the day but I always stream from standing position. I'm not an ergonomics expert in any way but I hear the worst about posture while working is simply staying in the same pose for too long.
