Why do you put the duck tape in the bag I see people do this to their bag could you explain?

After a while the filling inside loosens up and can make the bottom of the bag end up like a rock and the top be super soft, just helps slow down the time it takes for the filling to get to the bottom, also sometimes the stitches come out the seam where you punch so helps that too :)
