Turning a Finial with Traditional Tools

  • In this video, We turn a finial using traditional tools (namely a 3/8" detail gouge and a large roughing gouge). Working on such a small scale can be a little intimidating but with the right tools and techniques also doable.     2024..so new to woodturning..I did notknow I was using traditional tools and I love using both tools used today. I agree pratice..

      Thank you. You just got to grab some wood and go for it. There will be a few really good lessons right away (aka broken ones) but you will absolutely get better with time.
