    Glad you take the time to cover your complete lube. Makes you feel better when she turns right over down the road.
    Just wish the manufacturer did the same. You know how it goes with mass production. 🙏

    Hello friend, cordial greetings from Venezuela 🇻🇪 Please I would like to know the torque that the connecting rod, the crankcase and the cover or chamber of the 3.5 HP BRIGGS STRATTON engine should have, thank you very much for your excellent and very detailed explanation, congratulations.

    Yes, when you lap the valves, you lap the valve seats at the same time. If not shown on this video it's in another of the series.

    if you use too much of assembly lube won't it stop the oil from entering the bearing? just a thought that came to mind

    are the pistons marked like a big engine or how do you decide which way to put the piston; I notice that the con-rod is shaped a certain way?

    I'm rebuilding a 6.75, the block and related stuff are the same as yours. I'm replacing a bent crankshaft on a almost new mower. I didn't remove the gov arm, I assume there is no seal or anything to replace there.

    1 thing missing, valve to piston timing, tdc on exhaust stroke with marks aligned

    Thanks for the video I’m frustrated that I can’t find the torque conversion number from American to Newton metres. Anyone can help out I’d appreciate that. Robert UK

    I have a motor that needs a rebuild. My husband can't seem to find a replacement motor the Motor # is BriggsandStratton 09P6020076F1. Do you rebuild motors or know someone who does? The engine went on a TB_100 TroyBilt push mower built in 2019. I would appreciate any information you can provide. Thank you from Linda and Frank Foster

      By now I realize you've moved on.
      Rebuilding takes time and lots of parts that are hard to gather for the job.
      In finality and for that older OHC engine, just replace it with something you can come up with locally. Harbor Freight springs to mind. Look around and ask questions before you leap.

    does the pin have to be glued in like that ? I thought they had to just set in the hole so that if the gear ever caught and spun the pin it wouldn't break the block ?

    • @AlchemistLair
      @AlchemistLair  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not sure what "pin" you are referring to but I'm not using any glue. That red stuff you see is assembly lube.

    what kind of oil did you use for the oil rings? Is cutting oil ok?

    • @AlchemistLair
      @AlchemistLair  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      I always use straight 30W NON-DETERGENT motor oil for the break-in of any cylinder. You can buy a cheap quart at any auto parts store (AutoZone).
