- Woo! The beast is finally done! It's finally HERE!
JOHANNA is a MAP that focuses on Tawnypelt, the heavy decisions she had to make regarding her direct family, and how those decisions impacted those around her.
Johanna is finally here and it looks GORGEOUS. I'm honestly so stunned. A huge shoutout goes out to every single animator who took part in this and worked SO hard to make their parts consistent with one another's, detailed, and above all else, amazing. Hey everyone! I get a lot of comments asking me what's going on and a lot of other general questions about the MAP, and so to celebrate 1 MILLION VIEWS, I decided to make a special video where I explain the plot and some of my though process behind assembling the scenes, answer some of your questions, and give you guys some tips on how to host your own MAP or be a great MAP participant!

For any of the people who don't read Warriors, these cats are not in love. Johanna (Tawnypelt) is not in love with either tabby. The nice one (Brambleclaw) is her brother, and the other one (Tigerstar, who is one of the main villans) is their father. Do not get confused and start shipping them
EDIT: Gotta be honest, when I commented this I hadn't seen Sweeney Todd yet. Also, yes, Tawnypelt would be called Tawnykit/Tawnypaw and Brambleclaw would be Bramblekit/Bramblepaw at this point in the series

I love Goldenflower's parts. If I was in her face, I'd be just as paranoid. This was such a beautiful representation of Tawnypelt's story. I haven't read the books in a while, but this is a good refresher.

It's so nice to see a MAP on Tawnypelt! focusing on less prominent characters is so cool cause it makes Warriors feel a lot more in depth. I love how well-scripted this is and that everyone managed to make such seamless transitions that just tie things together really well! Everyone did a really good job ^^

And her brother, BrambleClaw and their relationship with one another! And also Tigerstar her father and their relationship, both relationship's fit well with the song! She’s always been one of my favorite cats but the way she was animated and portrayed here was terrifyingly awesome but yes she was a sweet cat she was s great mother and she’s slightly underrated

Ahhhh I was actually just watching Sweeny Todd last night in anticipation of this MAP :,) This turned out beautifully. You can tell how well-scripted it is in how pleasantly the parts blend together. I am honored I could have been a part of such an incredible project!

Oh my goodness, I don’t think I’ve been this hyped for a MAP since Roxanne! The visuals were phenomenal, the many artists and how much their styles were so unique and different from one another, yet all came together to create this stunning visual. Definitely a new favorite of mine!

Ever since the map call came out I was captivated by the idea, and I YELLED when this came out. The quality is AMAZING, not to mention the enotion! It was extremely well managed and run, and Rose was an amazing host. And after a few months, it is finally done. The beast is finally done.

THIS IS ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS..... the moments with goldenflower -- you can just feel the energy and the intensity,, the designs are incredible and so many of the scenes are inventive and well thought out and it tells such a clear story.... the song choice is so good too.... gosh i cant stop watching!! amazing work everyone!!!!

and omg- can I scream about how brilliant it was to give us a better understanding of Goldenflower’s pain through the way she was included? Imagine having a mate/boyfriend that turned into a bloodthirsty murderer- you’d be devastated and thinking, “what happened to the person I knew back then? The person I loved?” But, if you were a mother, everyone, with their superstition that the children would turn out just like their murderer father, would really get to you. It would cause you more pain than you can imagine- Goldenflower suffered just that. All mothers refuse to believe their children aren’t perfect; she was quite aggressive and stubborn in defending her kits because she had to maintain the family’s reputation from being torn apart by the bloodstained claws of their father’s legacy, and no one can blame her. That’s really a lot of pain to suffer for a mother, and you picked just the right moments in the musical to empathize that. (Heck, I haven’t even seen Sweeney Todd I’m going to start watching that now)
And Aowmwmsos I always imagined Tigerstar as the kind of father who would expect their children to be *absolutely p e r f e c t* and agreeable to their demands. Of course, you wouldn’t expect the Great Tigerstar to love their kits and raise them up lovingly?
This map was very beautiful- I applaud all the animators and the beautiful artist that drew the thumbnail. And I applaud you, roseshards, for being the brainwork behind the map! I enjoyed reading the script even though I wasn’t in the map. (Your map part was amazing too oml aaAA!)
For a song with a very different storyline, you all transformed it beautifully to fit perfectly with Tawnypelt's storyline

Wow. This completely changed my point of view on Tawnypelt, one that I've held for four years. Ever since I read about her leaving ThunderClan for a murderer, I hated her guts and everything she did.
This made me realize that she did make bad choices, but so did Brambleclaw. There's just one thing- Tawnypelt didn't train in the Dark Forest, even when she was pressured by her own brother to do so. In the end, she commuted to her past decisions and did the right thing.
AAAAH YAAAAS IT'S OUT!!
Where to start?? First off, the song really fits the scenero being animated (Tawnypelt making decisions on different things that affect her life.) All the parts go so well together, it's like watching a movie! I'm so glad it's out and it's one of the best maps out there.

WOW!!!! Super impressed with how visually cohesive this MAP came to be!! Definitely my new favorite Warriors MAP. Without question. Tawnypelt's design is an especially gorgeous departure from a lot of ones I've seen for her, and she is eye-catching in every part. Congrats on getting this done so beautifully and efficiently!

This turned out ABSOLUTELY AMAZINGGG???? Oh my gosh, every part flowed into the next so well! :DDD The cohesiveness of MAPs in general just gets better and better, but this one really stands out among them! The tone and atmosphere of this project is so haunting and ethereal yet grounded--and of course, it features one of WC most outstanding female characters: Tawnypelt.

ahhh, this is BEAUTIFUL! there's so many talented people in this community. MAPs really bring everyone together to make an absolutely stunning animation like this one.
Tawnypelt has always been one of my favorite characters. She has a kind heart like Goldenflower, but also has a fierce determination like Tigerstar. She is an amazing character who I think could be used and included even more because of her interesting personality and character. I really hope they make a super edition for her!

Im baffled at how amazing this is!!! Everyone did so well and i remember checking the playlist every day to see new wips and watch everyones progress! It was a long awaited map but so worth it with how much blood sweat and tears people put into their parts! The emotion and atmosphere of this map is stunning and im so glad i got to be a part of it! Cant wait to see more beautiful maps from you!

Wow, this MAP is truly breathtaking. The animation is incredibly detailed and the consistency between each animator's work is impressive. A huge shoutout to all the animators who worked on this, and a special thank you to GlassHyena for their last minute contributions. The use of Sweeney Todd's "Johanna" as the main song and "Johanna (Instrumental)" as the credits song adds an extra layer of emotion to the already powerful story. The story itself, focusing on Tawnypelt's heavy decisions and their impact on those around her, is captivating and well executed.
CloudKid, you should be incredibly proud of this work. You have truly brought your idea to life and it's clear that the support and hard work of the animators and followers has paid off.
This MAP is definitely worth watching, it's a visual feast for the eyes and a emotional one for the soul.

This turned out so fantastic!! The animators did an amazing job! I love how the parts flow so well together, and I also love the script, I love that this MAP focuses on how difficult life must've been for Tawnypelt. Everyone who took part in this should be proud of themselves, this is absolutely beautiful!

THIS is one of the best maps of the year so far in my opinion! The editing is beautiful and every single part flows together so well, this is beautifully animated and every animator was amazing! This is a masterpiece roseshards! This is incredibly well scripted, and the designs are amazing. The credits also look amazing and super adorable!

Ahhh this turned out so amazing !! I knew from the moment i read the script that it would be a fantastic MAP (which is what made me want to join lol-- Im a sucker for well-scripted MAPs with specific designs and backgrounds determined) This is probably the first MAP i've seen where the characters have set color palletes depending on the time of day?? And I was like ?? That's SUCH a good idea, can I join??? Haha, but no seriously, it's so cohesive how you can "feel" the various settings (TC camp, bonehill, thunderpath, dark forest, etc) instead of just "see" them? Does that make sense? :P And the credits were such a wonderful addition!! It's like a journey back through the MAP and through Tawny's life (yes i tried to type Johanna's and stopped myself :D) and it feels so much more impacting when you can instantly recognize the scenes only by their colors! Anyway thanks for letting me be a part of this amazing MAP

I love this a lot. And there's just.. something about Tigerstar, Goldenflower, Tawnypelt and Brambleclaw having identical cheek stripes that makes me adore this that much more
