Love these two and their triplets so much. Jackie, you are a motherly inspiration, and Shadow, you are the most amazing provider! Please let them have a successful hatching this year!!!

@zayne9188 Hahaha! 😂 He also had to try to figure out how to roll 3 eggs and get them under him. Lol! 😅 He was probably thinking he's got a lot of fishing to do real soon. 😊 TC! 😇🙏😺🦅
Shadow discovered that it is a little harder to get 3 eggs under him but he accomplished it. I continue to be amazed at the way they handle the snow, even though I have watched them through three prior winters. J&S are simply a wonder to watch at any time and I thank you, Cali, for making it so easy to do.
Jackie is an amazing eagle mom and Shadow is a great eagle dad. I liked when Shadow looked down to see 3 eggs. I believe Shadow was in shock. I'm hoping the eggs will all hatch and survive. Blessing the eagle family. 🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅 🥚 🥚 🥚❤❤❤❤❤
Amazing instinct, thank you Mother Nature. Such a giant bird, with the strength, claws to rip fish out of the water, but gentle enough to not break an egg.
Not 1 but 3? Well, if anyone can handle this it's Jackie. Poor Shadow trying to arrange 3 to cover them under him as if to say, "how the heck did jackie do this..". This entire life of theirs and we get to watch it!! So amazing.
I’m so excited for Jackie and Shadow and their egg triplets too.👏🏻👏🏻🥳🦅🦅🥚🥚🥚🥰❤️. I pray for a successful hatch when it comes time.🙏🥚🥚🥚. I do get concerned when there is snow too even though I know it’s good insulation for the Eagles but, I just don’t want it to cause any problems for the eggs when it comes time for them to hatch. God bless both Jack and Shadow and I know to trust the Eagles. Hugs! Sue M. Florida🥰👏🏻👏🏻❤️🙏🦅🦅🥚🥚🥚❌⭕️
Somehow they manage to keep that egg bowl dry. They truly are amazing creatures. Congratulations to Jackie & Shadow and loving pair for sure. Hav been following them for 2 years now. You can see Jackie's little beaky marks in the snow around their nest, from her resting her head. She sure knows what to do with all of that snow on her back. She shook it off like the pro she is!!🏆 As far as Shadow goes, I'm sure he expected 2🥚🥚s, not 3! He maneuvered around those precious gifts with the utmost care and love. If birds could physically smile, he was grinning ear to ear 😊🥚🥰🥚🥰🥚😊 Everyone is so happy about this and it feels wonderful!! How big is your smile Cali?❤ 👑🦅🥚💞🥚💞🥚👑🦅
Poor Jackie trying tò keep her three little ones warm in this snowstorm. Shadow will also tàke turns keeping the nest warm. At least the sun came out for a bit. God protect J & S and their new triplets and keep them safe. ❤
Amazing absolutely Amazing. Mom battled the snow looking like an igloo. Leaves the nest in comes dad to carry on. Warms my heart💕 Thank you God Jesus for these lovely strong willed Eagles.
Thank you Charles Darwin (and others) for helping us understand that with eons of time plus the power of 🧬 DNA, plus the inexorable progress of natural selection we get these beautiful apex predators who are exquisitely adapted to survive even in the harshest of conditions. Mother Nature is awesome. 🦅🪺🌧️🌲🦅
What a great night for me. I was scrolling through videos and came upon this one and I remembered it very well. I miss sitting up all night watching the love birds protecting those eggs. My favorite night was a snow and wind storm that covered every inch of the nest. You couldn't see Jackie or Shadow until they popped their head up. It's so great to see this again🥰😍
Jackie is amazing as always through Snowstorms! Now she's larger, it shouldn't be too hard for her to keep eggs warm and dry. Once eggs hatch into Eaglets, that'll be a test. I pray that hopefully Shadow is right next to her in inclement weather so the Eaglets all survive. Thanx Cali for sharing this BeAuTiFuL capture of our BBV Raptors! 💞 p.s. I really thought Shadow would faint briefly when he saw how many eggs Jackie had in her basket!😆
That was awesome. That was so cute. He like kept going back-and-forth back-and-forth. He didn’t know where to step. He was like didn’t know how to place his talents his feet it was so cute. He knew there was another one added. He looked so proud after, but he could not make himself comfortable. That was funny of course shadow and Jackie is a trooper, you go mama Jackie handling the snow like that good job both of you. Love you too. Please be safe trust the eagles.❤
Poor Jackie, she does so well in the snow, I just hope that Shadow keeps bringing her food. So happy they have three eggs! That's amazing. Say warm Jackie and keep the eggs warm too. (from Sandi)
God works in amazing ways with these two fantastic Eagles, and their little ones❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️. Big Daddy Shadow has it covered and under control. Lovely to see this. Thank You FOBBV!!!!!!!!
I’m so happy for them. I was so heart broken last year when they lost their whole clutch. But with everything, love will always persevere!! ❤ Best of luck to our feathered friends.
I’m going to donate $5 on behalf of the ‘Party of 5!’ And I challenge everyone as excited as me to do the same. This is worth celebrating and we all want to keep enjoying the opportunity to watch our favorite family. Thank you!

Shadow's thinking "who's idea was this, three eggs?" Hard to get it just right. Ha ha. Precious birds, let's hope all three are viable and will live to old age. Shadow and Jackie, you rock. Stay safe beautiful ones.
It's so dam cold up in Big Bear this time of year. After tomorrow and the next day we have 5 days of Snow. Let us not worry. We should only pray about them. The eggs won't hatch till the end of February. I'm crossing my fingers for a late birthday gift. I hope Big Bear Lake has a milder snow season than last year. Fingers crossed and praying for Jackie and Shadow and the Triplets. God Bless Us Everyone. ❤❤❤❤
It's amazing. Shadow is certainly noticeably smaller than Jackie. Incredibly beautiful birds. I'm sure this is listed somewhere, just how high up is this nest and what's the diameter? Hard to get a sense of the size. The footage is mesmerizing.
For a second there Shadow looked like a falcon dad, a little puzzled at how to make three eggs fit! But he managed it. The beak plant into the snow in the final shuffle made me chuckle.
Love how Jackie carefully maneuvers her feet and claws around the eggs. Looked like she almost stepped on one but then recoiled immediately and placed her foot next to it. I wonder how often eggs get broken by mistake.
Is it possible for a "A" framed tarp to be placed high above Shadow and Jackie's nest ? That way the two eagles would not get quite so much snow on top of their nest with eggs in it . If you put the "A" framed tarp high enough so the eagles can fly in and out that would be so much better . They might still get a little bit of snow but this much snow is crazy . Last year their egg died from freezing .
wow! crazy how shadow gets in the nest and the first thing he does is move the eggs around for aeration! You can just tell he is excited as it was in and out. Jackie leaves and Shadow comes right in afterwards. These two aren't taking any chances!!!
Bring some fluff Shadow!❤️ This happens to you every time doesn’t Jackie!! I know you will keep your babies warm though! She knows exactly how to shed that stuff off of her back and not down on the eggs.❤️🦅❤️❤️❤️
The feathers are on the body keeps her nice and warm, it traps air to be warmed by the body and insulates from the cold. Bald eagles also have what are called contour feathers. These are what we see on their body and which gives the bird its overall shape.
I'm afraid these kids are all headed for very trying times; But, such is the nature of life! This is going to be exciting to watch! I'm happy for Jackie and Shadow... They've finally achieved a 3 egg clutch! But this ain't Florida; It's the rugged, relentless Southwest, on the stormy side of a mountain at 7,000 feet, during an expectedly heavy El Nino winter. The snow could get deep; The storms will likely be many; And the temperatures may get pretty darn low by its end. That would be amazing if 3 successfully raised could come out of this! I am still in shock - 3- eggies, so precious!!!! Praying for smooth sailing with the eggs !!! ❤ Shadow mommy needs a ton of fluff now for sure
