If you had seen Land of the Lustrous (basically gem people), whenever they are damaged or shatter they lose memories cause their bodies also act as brains of sort. Some of the memories aren't as important, but if you take for instance the head off or a whole limb, it affects the gem. In case with this rewrite he said any fragment can become its own person, so what if, Namina was just made of insignificant things and memories for Kairi, not enough to forget her core memories in hollow bastion and sora tho, but enough to form another being.
I actually love that you pointed this out because I never thought of this, and if I ever revisit KH2, I think I might actually keep the part about Kairi losing her memory of Sora. It just makes sense given what I changed about Sora's memory loss. And that could still tie into her gaining it back after linking with Roxas and being motivated to leave the island similarly, especially being fired up having just remembered some of the most important memories she has. ☺️
The thumbnail makes it look like Kairi, Namine, Aqua, and Xion are about to start singing Bohemian Rhapsody. That’s not a complaint, I just find it funny.
Normally- Kingdom Hearts takes at least 40 minutes - to an hour to summarize fully, and people still don't understand the context. If you can recap Kingdom Hearts ReWritten within 8 minutes- and people still understand it then what a load of finny fun.

I really like KH3, but like a lot of people I think the pacing and story suffered immensely due to how the sheer density of Disney content bloated the body of the game and took time away from the plot and characters, all for reasons that were pretty unmoving (Sora lost the "Power of Waking", so now he just aimlessly wanders into random worlds with no real idea how to acquire it, only to acquire it by underwhelming means anyways). That being said, in addition to improving the pacing, I aim to deal with some of the glaring story issues as well (some of which are already resolved throughout the previous parts of my rewrite). I also plan to tie-in my new story elements and add content I think will improve the story as a whole. Big shoes to fill, but I'm way more worried about rewriting 0.2 than KH3 😅
I still do not like how fragmented hearts create new beings with new hearts and therefore new people. Fuck that. The only way I'd be cool with that is that entirely new people (i.e. they look different from one another) I would much rather Roxas, Xion, and Namine's memories shape the heroes like they did as an implication from KH2. It makes it feel like there wasn't anything worth losing and if you like those characters they just get to conveniently keep existing even though they weren't real people.

Think of it more like instead of Xion being more connected to Kairi and Roxas more connected Sora and Xion only connected to Kairi through Sora’s fragmented state and Namine connected to Sora and Kairi equally

I can see you've given this a lot of thought but I don't see how this fixes KH, I think rewrite is accurate. I don't think making Roxas and Xion date enhances the story, for instance. I normally prefer to see how a story can be improved using the existing building blocks and making minor changes. I don't think this content is for me but good luck with the conclusion to your project. Hopefully you'll craft a more meaningful story than what we got in the end.
I appreciate the criticism, though I do wonder, did you watch the full episodes on my channel, or did you just watch this recap? Because this omits a LOT of care and effort I've put into my rewrite.
I'm vastly expanding the story of 0.2. It focuses far more on the realm of darkness itself, the depressing conditions, the struggles of the Heartless and the people that live there, the different factions, the ongoing conflict against the light, and Aqua's growth as a character caught in the mix of everything. There will be *some* behind the scenes of things that happened in past games, but for the most part it'll be an independent prerequisite to my KH3 rewrite.

I mean, Naminé's white dress in contrast with Xion's black coat (both separated by the experienced Aqua and the youthful Kairi), the crystals that represent opposite elements standing together side by side (such as fire and water)...I don't think you put the girls here simply in the name of feminism, did you ? Remember I caught Sora's sad look in that frame of his.
You're thinking WAY too hard about this image, haha. It doesn't have any hidden meaning, it's just a cool shot with the KH gals. If anything, me using it as the thumbnail represents how improving the women of Kingdom Hearts was one of my priorities with the rewrite. That's also why I always use women as the thumbnails.

Kairi would slap Jack because of a moment of jealousy over the fact he seems to have more influence over Sora even though he's a bit of a bad influence (yes, I am aware this idea needs polishing), and Naminé would slap Jack because of PTSD, seeing as manipulative (I think this one actually is more plausible, you don't almost lose your life and aid on someone else's demise after being manipulated into pretty much doing it without some scars).
DLC wasn't a thing a thing on the Ps2 and Chain of memories was originally on a different console you can't set out to change someone else's creation ((Dick move btw)) and then try to change stuff about the world we live in..
