    On my Tow-Pro Elite I have a zipped and non zipped side. I fit the non zipped side into the awning rail and attach some hooks fastened at the top to a gutter above the windows. I opted to have my grab handles poke through the cover with the cover fitting behind the handle which made it fit far more tightly. I have the same fittings below mine but have fitted the strap permanently above the brake rod. When pitched the strap clip fits into a slot in the A frame so it doesn’t disappear under the van due to wind etc. I sent mine back to S/Covers to have the reversing symbol for my Land Rover fitted centrally so when I select reverse I get the door mirror cameras giving a view down each side rather than an image of the front of the caravan. S/Covers couldn’t have been more accommodating with my request. I would say my tow cover takes about a minute to fit single handed. Great bit of kit which my Son calls my gimp mask. 👍🏻

      Hi Huw, thanks for commenting & your feedback, I will look into fitting the strap permanently above the break rod, they really are a great bit of kit and I am very happy with mine. Stay Safe & Happy Camping. 😃 James

    Cheers for this one James. It goes without saying, worth its weight in gold. Okay not cheap, but a lot cheaper than a cracked window from a stone flying up and saves your sanity when you're on site to enjoy your break rather than washing the front of the van when you get there! Look forward to the next one 😁 Martin & Jo

    Nice to hear your comments on what to do when it's wet. I note you mention that it has an elastic part. Would it fit a caravan an inch wider...just to be used once only on an inch wider caravan? Thank you for your demo it was helpful. Nicola

    • @CaravanEscapades101
      @CaravanEscapades101  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, I think that extra Inch might be a bit to much. It might be ok, but I know the new toe pro Elites don't have this elastic section anymore, so it might work with the older one. Sorry I can't be of any more help, I guess you could give it a go. James

    Just to let your viewers no that they have completely altered the cover design.
    I’ve recently purchased for swift challenger 650 2021 and you have to completely undo the bottom straps and clips to gain excess to your front locker.
    Also removed top straps so cover is sagging and elastic sides.
    Think like any company they are short on material.Advise is to insist on photos before ordering. I ordered the pro elite supposed to be top spec and looked on website, but received something completely different so be aware.
    Any way great video 👍

      Hello NG, thanks for watching and thanks for the information. Specialised Covers have invited me for a Factory tour when we can confirm dates. I will see what I can do to ask them why the design change and if they plan on bringing back the old design with the easy open zips. Happy Camping. James

    • @NG-cb7he
      @NG-cb7he 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi James, Don’t think they have altered from website just sent me different one. I’ve purchased my caravan same time as Graham caravan vlogger same 2021
      Specialised covers sent me a cover which has two zips either sided not curved in the central like yours and Grahams.
      So you have to unclip the bottom and central strap to access your locker.
      If you go online now and try to order for swift challenger 650 2021 you will expect same design as your one and Graham.
      They said that they put out on social media etc but websites and Facebook are still showing curved design for swift challenger.
      They gave me one for a full long locker open but won’t admit it and refused a refund.
      I didn’t check it till few days ago due to caravan being covered up and I recently lost my mother so had been dealing with this.
      Have spoken to them and explained but they still think it the correct one even though it false advertisement .
      You can see what I mean if you put in my details of caravan and tow pro elite you expect similar cover.
      Thanks for getting back regards Neil

I will be doing another photo vlog soon of our other trips to France before we started blogging and will leave descriptions in there. We have France booked for this year but nit sure if we will be travelling yet. Stay Safe & Happy Camping

    Hi Paul, would you be able to tell me the TPE number of your cover as I am thinking of buying one and I want to see if I can get one 2nd hand? Thanks

      @CaravanEscapades101  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello, I can check on the cover for you, But it is in the Caravan in Storage, I could see if I can get it at the weekend. I am not sure it will be the same as the Standard though, As I got them to swap the colours round so the Gray was in the middle and Black on the outside, so they may have created a different number. The One we have is the Tow Pro Elite. I think its £399

    This is on our wishlist but I've heard differing opinions on its usefulness.... Have you aways used one?

    • @CaravanEscapades101
      @CaravanEscapades101  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Yes I have always used one since Caravaning. I have had cheaper ones in the past and found them a faff and they marked the Caravan. I had a universal Specialised Covers Tow pro that was good. But had straps and clips down the sides so took longer to get on and adjust. I now have the Tow pro Elite. It is thick and robust and has the elastic down the side. So very easy to use. Only problem is if it gets wet and then drying it out before packing away but that is the same with any Tow cover. Only use them when towing never in storage as the rain and dirt goes down the back over time and damages the cover and caravan. It keeps the front of the Caravan clean and protects from stone chips etc. With a front window costing around £800 I never Tow without it. Thanks for commenting and happy camping James

      @CaravanEscapades101  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You Can get them a bit cheaper. People sell them on FB market place or ebay when they have changed their Caravan. You might get a Bargin.

    • @escapetothecaravan9505
      @escapetothecaravan9505 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think that's what I heard. The marking of the caravan BECAUSE of the cover and the faff of putting them on. It makes sense you get what you pay for though so will check out some options!
