LIBERTY EVEN SERIES UP!!

The New York Liberty were able to even the series up with strong determination and physical play. They definitely adjusted to the officials who were allowing it to be very physical. Breanna Stewart, definitely came to play in all aspects of the game. I think she said a record of seven steals and a Playoff game. Even though her outside shooting wasn’t as strong as it has been, she would then drive and make a layup instead. Inonescu was strong, both offensively and defensively. The real difference maker was Lainey-Hamilton. Who was on fire offensively and did a great job defensively. Everyone else did a good job of contributing. they also did what I said and ran the offense through Jones and she was tough on the boards.
Collier lead the Lynx in game,two scores for the Minnesota links by Liberty WNBA finals last Sunday. Once again the Liberty took an early lead from the links and that cannot happen in this next game. Collier got in foul trouble and Was out in the fourth quarter when they usually make a comeback. Carlton wasn’t her usual self and Williams needs to drive more. They kept it close until it was blown out in the fourth quarter. The Lynx. must adjust to the officiating. If it is very physical, it will always favor the Liberty. They must do a better job. On Jonquel Jones. and play a tougher defense on Brianna Stewart if they are to win games three. Their advantage will be that they are playing at home which gives them the 6 player advantage. They also mentally know that they beat the Liberty for the Commodore cup. This will be another close game, with the liberty, trying to win one, and the Minnesota Lynx moving the ball quickly for the open shots with McBride and Carlton and Smith having to contribute more offensively. They must continue to play the number one defense that they are known for. They must double down on Jonquel Jones, and get out on anybody that becomes the Hot shooter and eliminate their touches.
This is a crucial game for both teams, but I think the Lynx will pull it out at home.
