    I haven't seen them for ages but when I first came to Kent the chip shops sold 'sheppys' which was shepherds pie battered and deep fried. ..yes, a layer of minced lamb topped with mashed potato covered in a batter shell and fried

    Hi Benjamin! I'm trying to work on my pronunciation because I still have a strong Italian accent... How do I learn to speak with YOUR accent apart from listening to your lessons? I love it!!! It's so clear and charming at the same time!!!

    I noticed how well suited this food is for an often cold,damp climate.Some of these dishes are amazing,solid comfort.There's a mock English pub here in Florida where a lot of this is on the menu.They omitted the jellied eel to avoid starting World War Three between allies,though.

    Hi my friend. You forgot two of the most important dishes in the united kingdom. Cottage pie and shepherds pie. Even though they are extremely similar to each other

      Hi Jacob, I'm actually cooking shepherd's pie as I type this! Not sure it qualifies as a weird dish though...

    I'm from Stoke and I can assure u that that's NOT an oatcake 😂 it's actually like a savoury sort of pancake with cheese on it (or other things like bacon and sausage) as far as I know they came from here cuz its the only place I can find at least one proper oatcake shop

    Black pudding is not an animals body part ITS A BLEND OF BLOOD, FATS AND SPICES. Pease pudding is not made from " mushed up peas ", its made from Yellow split lentils.

    • @lewist7576
      @lewist7576 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nonthapat Prinyanusorn No, it is somewhat R.P with small hints of some regional accents. Unfortunately, the true cockney accent is dying out.

      Cockney is traditionally East End of London

    England is a lovely country, but there's no such thing as British good food.

      Have you been to the UK? There is good food here but it's not as easily found as in some of our neighbouring European countries.
