Idk you will answer this but what is im your fretboard near the nut ? A hairband?
That is a kind of hack.... That is like a hair band...that will mute all open strings and which string you press and strum only that will be played...
Try at home....
Get a hair band of your mother and sister just put on fret board and press the note and strum freely...
Only pressed notes will be played.

Sir why do you put a band like thing on the nut what does it do???
That's a string dampner.
It is used for muting the strings above the nut and it can also be used for muting unwanted strings while playing the solos.

You can buy it online or from local music store, prices start 4000-5000 onwards. But to invest in a good quality amp is always good
