The cantina is incredible but it will also be a slow mover because of its high price.
Totally agree. I hope to get a couple, but then my plan will be to sell locally so I don't have to deal with shipping it. And that likely will be a longer hold time.

As a data driven channel, I was waiting for you to explain how you came to the power rankings. I was expecting a multiple regression equation of some sorts 😂 or even something simple like Mentions times Enthusiasm Score, but they seem like your top 10 sets?
Anyways, I'm so mad you mentioned that Dreamzzz set. It's a total sleeper than less people will sleep on and yes, it was on sale during the Easter double GWP promo.

My power rankings is kind of my top 10... but it's probably a little bit more the data i'm looking at right now and how I'm interpreting it. The way I'm thinking about it is if I developed a top 10, I wouldn't expect it to change much. But I do expect my power rankings to change some based on new/changing data and/or different ways of looking at the data and increasing/decreasing buzz around the set. So, my top 10 would be my best guess for the rest of the year and in retirement, while my power rankings is where I'm at right now with the expectation of it changing through the rest of the year.

Personally the numbers 10 , 3, 2, would/are my choices. The Monkie kid theme is interesting and have been doing a bit of research/prospecting on the theme. Great info as usual, keep them coming.

If rumours prove true, three of those five figs from the E-Wing are coming in a lower priced August set, along with some other future must-owns. I like the set, but I'm not investing until I see how summer plays out
Yeah I think it's always prudent to wait until later in the year when they're closer to retirement and we have more information. I hadn't heard that rumor, but if it comes to fruition then that set will likely fall down my list in future power rankings videos. Thanks for sharing the intel with the group. Take care!

I think you will be lucky to get more than a 20% discount on the Super Star Destroyer. The fact that it is a Walmart/Lego exclusive limits buying opportunities. Walmart also likes to clear shelves early sometimes. I saw it happen with the trash compactor set last year. If you want to get any volume, I would pick it up when it hits 20% off.

I really like the dream set. I think it goes good with the dungeons and dragons set I plan on getting a bunch of these sets I think there’s some good pieces and I’m hoping they’ll be a bunch re breakable directions soon

Typewriter is an open box return nightmare. So many people can’t build this set but don’t know it until they try.
Yeah, I heard a little bit of that, but I didn't know it was that big of an issue. That's very interesting. I know Lego will help out a lot, but I could see that being very frustrating too... so I can see people wanting to return it and try a different set.
Im also keeping my eye on the ocean Monkey Kids set, got only 1 heavenly realms for myself at full msrp (and love the build and design). The Dreams village I was also keeping it in the back of my mind, build it, it was fun, and has some potential with castle/fantasy fans I think. The SW sets also on my list for investing (plus a couple more, like thise that didnt make the cut), Indy sets also on my list. Typewriter Im not so enthousiastic about but maybe if I see a really good deal, and yeah Technic Im not touching anymore 😅 (Im also sceptical about the SW Cantina, since it was rumored to retire before, and people loaded up then, and now again, long shelf life, I think theres going to be to much supply and its a big investement and takes alot of space to hold multiple years)

Hey Kevin. Do you have a set list of channels used to gather data or does it vary from month to month?
I check any channel I've watched in the past, but then I also search to see if there's anything new out there. Depending on what I find and who has posted what, there's some channel variation from month to month. Take care!

Thanks! Yeah, it was fun making a power rankings video. Yeah, definitely like football...I'm not diehard, but my kids play flag, we all watch NFL, occasionally I do fantasy (power rankings are fun in fantasy) and I bust on my Alabama buddies when they don't win the championship 🤣🤣. How about you?

I hear ya...I was really debating between the 2 for the top spot. Ghost has minifigs, but midi star destroyer is 1st in a new very displayable Subtheme. It will be interesting to see! You too, enjoy Lego-ing!!
The current value on bricklink you're showing at 24.25 is not really accurate. I think that Brickset metric/link doesn't really give an accurate picture. That doesn't take into account new sealed complete sets, which is what most people want. On ebay they're going for $50 or so and closer to $60 on Amazon.
Current average sold price (shipped) on eBay is $45. Subtract $7 for shipping and subtract $6 for fees = $32. Brickset sounds pretty accurate to me!
I don't quote Amazon prices because most people don't have access to sell there.

I like the Dreamzzz sets - I have a few of the Treehouse and stable because of the colors and playability of the sets, I think they are long holds, but they do well on eBay

I don’t think you even mentioned the 2 biggest pluses, it is a true Lego store exclusive and the modules combine with 3 other season 1 sets so you need this set to complete the alt builds shown at the end of the instructions. It was just 20% off for the first time limit 5 with the 2 poor Easter GWP.
