    Although all these italian generals and major generals awere defeated by the ethiopian war at Adwa, that wasn't enough victory since emperor Minilik stoped there and gave eritrea to italia as its colony. He did this because he received a letter from italia to remind him that unless he stopped there, he'd not have the chance to govern ethiopia without dividing the Tigriya ethnic group. That was one of the big mistakes that caused eritreans to hold resentment against ethiopians.

    Instead of saying Minilik's Soldier in all your tones Put the real Ethiopian battle field leaders at the front battle like the tones you justify for the Italian Generals.

    A glimpse at the Battle of Adwa
    A tribute to its precedencies
    The battle of Adwa is a history, one of a confluential point in global political landscape.
    On its good news, the battle:-
    1. Awaken the whole oppressed world to see hope for a better day and the possibility to stand against any form of oppression ranging from political, economic, social justices to cultural identities.
    As a result
    · Ethiopianism as part of globalism emerged that ended at African, Asian and Latin American independence from colonialism in less than 100 years after the battle;
    · Hegelian and French revolution advocates, as well the 1948 Communist manifesto launchers joined this New World Order of globalism and for the first time, they believed that the transnational capital formation system can be checked not only ideologically, but also militarily, that in less than 100 years of the battle, the world hosted the 1917 October revolution, that took the great Soviet Empire a stronghold of Socialism, which controlled half of the global political world for about 80 years;
    2. Threatened by the spread and potential danger of Socialism for global peace and security, the battle drove Vatican to come up with a greater New World Order of a new concept and definition of globalization, which latter precipitated the formation of the European Union, the coming one world political government and global one religious order. Though, the other wing of globalism i.e. Socialism failed and the United States declared to withdrew from globalism and turned to nationalism, the Vatican agenda is still on its way to be materialized;
    3. The political change precedent from the battle, not only, did not limited itself to the struggle against colonialism into independence and against Capitalism of the probable hope for empowering Socialism over Capitalism and Dialectical Materialism over Ideal - realism, but also, on the one hand, the 19th C Wahabism of Islamic cultural revivalism against colonialism in the Middle East, got a momentum to be transformed into Arab Socialism under a foot print of Marxism, and on the other, the shaking political world, gave a greater leap for Zionist movement of the same 19th C, with its manifesto for a homeland to the Jewish people, had access to knock at the doors of imperial powers including the League of nations.
    As well, the battle, implied to the formation of Church of Abyssinia within the Black national movement in the Unite States that brought Jessy Jackson and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. to American politics up to office of the president under Obama;
    On its bad news, the battle:-
    Resulted to the machination of dividing Ethiopia into five (Eritrea - Tigray, Amhara, Oromo, South and others, Afar and Isa) distinct states based on religious and ethnic background to contain, the aftermath of the victory of the battle, Emperor Menelik’s greater Ethiopian politics, to which the present Eritrean succession and Ethiopian ethnic federal configuration are a case in point. That is why, Eritrea’s politicization of Imperial Ethiopia’s colonial expansion and the present ethnicization of the Ethiopian politics, are both fictitious that will end at void politics - for a mere fact that there is no a clear cut account of Imperial Ethiopian expansion against ‘Eritrean identity and sovereignty’ or of ethnic oppression as well as class struggle that is or are liable to be a genuine historical background to divide Ethiopia along with we see it here today.
    Rather, both Eritreans and we Ethiopians are trying to adopt ourselves to the conspiracies plotted to us while, the plotters are on their way. What a suicide?
    Therefore, the Battle of Adwa is Ethiopian war to stand against an aggressor, as any war in its history before Adwa. Yet, unlike, many wars in Ethiopian history, its implication went far and beyond imagination of protecting Ethiopian sovereignty, from Colonial independence to the formation of OAU/AU, from Communist manifesto to Socialism, from Ethiopianism to globalism and to one world government, from Arab Nationalism to Arab Socialism, from Zionism to the Jewish State formation, from Church of Abyssinia to the White house.
    Adwa is seen a get way to the
    paradox of globalism Vs conservative nationalism; a get way to multilateralism and common accountability for common mistakes; a get way to political correctness and political suicides.

    In fact, those generals, major generals and other many high military officers including many thousands of italian soldiers were killed and captured, as long as they stopped there, and left Eritrea under fascit italian powers, it was incomplete victory. That mistake remains to todays generations conflict between eritrean and ethiopians. If emperor Yohnesse was able to defeat italians more than two times only withfew soldiers from one ethnic group, emperor Minilik with more many ethnic groups of soldiers would have done more to expel fascist italian powers from Eritrea. How ever, for his own powers sake, in his will he recognised Eritrea as a colony of italia.

      hahah using every opportunity to tell us how you guys are special. I am not trying belittle any of those kings but hat the hell was Atse Yohanes doing when Italians occupy parts of Ertrea from the very beginning? Or for you ertrea is only the tigrigna speaking part? After the death of Atse Yohannes Italians advanced only to highlands of Ertrea but they were in other parts of the Ertrea long before that. It all started when Atse Yohannes signed that bogus treaty with british to fight mahadist in sudan to get highlands of ertrea and access to massaw port. Why he didnt claim the whole ertrea then? When Italians advanced actually he was reminding them to respect the treaty between Egypt, and Britain before going war against them which for me suggests he recognized that Italians have right in parts of todays Ertrea. Atse yohannes tricked by british in a day light and it was terrible decision from him which ultimately costed his life. So when you point on efinger at Menilik (I acknowledge there might be bad decisions here and there though) remember four fingers point to Atse Yohannes too. sad said Trump
