Adora: I didn’t know it was called a kiss. Also I didn’t know people could just do it whenever they wanted like that. I think Catra tried to do something like that when we were kids but then Shadow Weaver took her away and told me I wasn’t allowed to do that with any of the other cadets, especially not with someone as useless as Catra. So I assumed this lip thing was bad somehow like maybe it was a health thing. I still don’t really know what’s so special about this kissing thing it looks harmless to me, why is everyone so obsessed about it
Makes sense that she didn’t understand the social implications of a kiss (or even know the word) since when her and catra did it was a huge dramatic confession of love.
There were a lot of things Adora didn't know in the beginning; what a part was, what a festival was, what a horse was, and especially funny how she basically tried to act like a genius even when anyhing outside te Horde caued to go; "what...is...that?"
To be fair, her only reference for affection is a catgirl who scratches her and whose tongue probably feels like sandpaper.
Mentally associating pain with affection has gotta lead to some psychological issues
