When Daniel did the crane kick he went almost straight up in the air and executed the kick to Johnny's face as his opponent rushed at him. Think of it as the aggressor running into his foot and hence Daniel's was more a defensive kick as he was always taught by Miyagi to use karate not to attack but for self defense. Miguel's in contrast was both vertical and a forward lunge that resulted in more power and was an overtly attacking move. Humza Qureshi Humza Qureshi First off, learn English please, I had to get my nephew in here to translate for me. 2nd off, as someone who actually teaches Karate, both Daniel and Miguel did the kick correctly. They just did it differently, Miguel put a lot more force behind it, you could tell in the way he leaned forward so much after it connected. Daniel’s kick in the original movie, was much faster, and snapped back quicker, he didn’t put quite as much power into it Both are legitimate ways to perform a Crane Kick. Or as my studio calls it, a “Flying Front Kick, Form Two”
Truthfully idk how anyone could even fall for a crane kick. It would appear should obviously know whats coming. Of coarse im not a karate expert or taken any karate. But if i was fighting someone and they was doing that ima know a kick to the face is coming. So im going to be watching for it.
danny knight and that’s the thing, it doesn’t have to be a kick to the face, it can be a kick to the chest or stomach as well And the version I was taught doesn’t involve the fancy stance, You start in a basic fighting stance, pick up your back leg as if you were about to perform an offensive front kick, then jump and switch to a defensive front kick at the last second. It’s a lot harder to block or even predict than you’d think
Yea that kind of crane kick would work better. Like Loyoto Machida did in the ufc. Meant how they did it on the movie and show. Getting in that stance and then doing it. The opponent should know what's coming. Whether going to be in the face or some where else. Should be able to avoid it. But like i said not a expert only know from watching.
danny knight now I’m no Kung Fu expert, but from what I do know, there are other moves that can be thrown from the Crane Stance, not just the infamous Crane Kick,
He has gotten more calls to play other roles in movies. I think because of his popularity in the Cobra Kai series and his acting has improved tremendously in each season. Therefore, Johnny learned how to "stand and fly" at some point after Karate Kid II ~ It makes me wonder what if Lawrence had Miyagi as a teacher, instead of Kreese, whilst it also begs the question as to whether Johnny will be able to replicate Miyagi's pressure-point/nerve technique - the one Chozen recently taught to Daniel - if he were to ever witnesses it ~ In the latest Cobra Kai trailer for Season 4 we see Daniel putting Johnny through the ropes with 'wax on, wax off' and 'sand the floor', which should be relatively easily mastered by him based on this ~*
You do realise the crane kick is one of the most common kicks in martial art
@@harry_h2705 *No, it's not*
@@BartAllen yes it is the only thing miyagi about it is the way the hold there hands its clearly just a jumping front kick which is pretty easy so long as your flexible enough
@@harry_h2705 *No, as it was a secret technique in those scrolls and he stated if properly mastered it's indefensible ~*
@@BartAllen im not saying its not a secret technique im saying its just not that hard to do
1:43 you can hear Johnny faintly say “get him a body bag”
Nice hearing
Really good hearing i never noticed that!
Damn as if they put that in there haha! And how tf did you spot it! 😅
Nah it’s get em back
There's also a "f--- yeah man"
Edit: that might just be what I hear when he says get him a body bag idk
1:42 you can faintly hear someone say "get him a body bag" lol 😂😂😂
Toro Loco 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
How else is an extra going to stand out?
Jethro FB Oh my God you can
I heard it myself while in class nice
Just like Tommy saying that in Karate kid
Miguel bringing new life to that crane kick. Yes, it's still very predictable and unreliable in a fight but the way Miguel executed it was powerful and fast. Anyone who wasn't at least on Miguel's level wouldn't be fast enough to dodge/counter it.
I love the moment when the MC gets his mike back.
Come on Bert! No Mercy!!! 😂😂😂
lol yeah! 😄
Miguel and his opponents deliver far more impressive fights here than in the season 4 finale! Miguel is simply unrivaled in his intuitive ability and agility.
Miguel has practically dominated every opponent he's gone against.
Why you gotta insult Robby vs Hawk like that? That was a fire match
@@namesdontmattergaming2756 yeah, but if Miguel had competed against both of them, chances are he would've won again.
@@anthonycampos8057 Doesn’t deny the fact they’re fight was impressive regardless
@@namesdontmattergaming2756 yup
I like that while the mother is screaming outrage that her son lost, her son is actually shaking hands and showing respect to the guy that beat him.
I love how even tho miguel lives as a badass like johnny taught him, but he still shows respect to everybody he beats. Even for Robbie
3:33 i didnt even realize miguel and hawk did their handshake there
I hope Miguel crane kicks Sam in the face in season 2
Edit: wow i didn’t expect all the likes thanks
I hope Sam sits on some guys face in season 2.
I hope Miguel Wins againts Keene in season 2
Dude I'm pretty sure Miguel still likes Sam but I hope he doesn't because it's illegal to do that it's assault
@@ziq1450 legal in an official fight.
I hope Miguel teach that move to Tory, and Tory use that move to kick Sam in the face.
1:06
2 years later and im still so satisfied by that punch
Hawk is badass
I love how Miguel kicks Zander right in the damn side
John: kick that pansy b*tch in the face.
Miguel: yes sensei😎
Love it! 😂
Cobra Kai is back baby.
3:17 honestly wouldn't expect anything from Jonny lmao
The line when Johnny said kick that painsy b in the face and then the fact that Miguel said yes sense I cracks me up everytime
I loveee that Daniel used that kick as a big finisher years ago, only to see Miguel mimic a portion of it in the first round like it was nothing😂
1:53 Miguel Slithered then Strikes Hard with No Mercy.
Xander seems like a cool guy, with a unique fighting style. Hope to see him in the sekki tekki
I think he aged out bc he was a returning champion meaning this was probably his last under 18 tournament
I love how people say the crane kick is illegal when Miguel literally did the same thing to that poor dude in the beginning. Also for people who are saying no kicks to the face look at 1:58
No face contact. Johnny didn't get a point for his face punch in Karate Kid 1. But everyone's doing it in this tournament.
Rules have changed
This scene alone dismantled the entire “illegal kick” argument
The way Johnny looks at Daniel after the kick😂🤣😂🤣
Even though Cobra Kai became corrupted, Johnny was a genuinely good sensei. He believed in all of his students.
That little smirk from Johnny when he instructed Miguel to use Daniel’s crane kick had me crying, 😂
1:11 I love when the ref grabs hawk and hawk is like “what do u want”
Cobra Kai the best
MARIOLONEWOLF OSU! Kyokushinkai
Habib Nurmagomedov the best, hi from Russia .Chickens American guys
I love the look on Miguel's face when he's about to do the crane kick
3:15 i think daniel thought the same as johnny in that moment
@The Jay Even I wanted to kick that pansy bitch in the face.
Who the hell stop the tournament to give a speech like that?
Thanh Do Huu An SJW asshole.
Thanh Do Huu It’d make sense if he was saying something like I’m gonna wreck you all or you’re all weak or you can just quit now. BUT NO he made the most hypocrite speech a karate man could make.
No wonder tournament attendance was declining.
this shows that daniel is no sjw
Sam: "I can't believe he stole your move"
Tryna act like Daniel invented the crane kick.
Notice that Sam wants to see Miguel lose. She really is a bad person who under the direction of her father irrationally hates everything Cobra Kai.
Both their priorities are dead wrong. Absolutely hate them to the core
@@ruthWICKED Daniel is cool, Samantha is a bitch. Period.
@@MMAisTHEbestSPORT08 daniel is reasonable for his hate to cobra kai, he was manipulated by cobra kai. Sam is just a plain bitch lmao
I felt the same way about Daniel too but after KK 3, I can understand why he’s a bit concerned with opening of cobra kai. Samantha tho, is just a piece of spoiled shit who has everything cuz of a rich daddy.
I don't think Sam wants to see Miguel lose. But then again I wouldn't completely blame her. She did get punched real hard by a very drunk Miguel.
I wish that they featured Xander more in the series. Dude had an excellent match against Miguel and he might’ve been able to help out eagle fang in season 4
I missed the "other competitors" that we had in this season in the finals of last season. I personally think it was cool to have one of the schools that wasn't in the rivalry still showing merit.
I am so glad that thees bad ass shows are here
Bad ass Crane Kick to start things off!
That's one of Miyagi-Do-Karate move
He wanted Miguel to do it to spite Daniel.
@The Jay Yeah he did it just to get Daniel angry
Samantha: i can’t believe he stole your move
Me: I can’t believe Daniel stole his sinseis move
I can't believe u spelled sensei wrong
1:18 the way demitri lifts his eyebrows had me dying lol
That crane kick part is probably one of my most favorite moments in Cobra Kai. That trolling is so damn fucking good lol
Johnny telling Miguel to use the crane kick is such an “alpha move”
Johnny just remember the old days😂😂
Xander took it Like a man though
Yes he did, unlike his foul-mouthed mother.
Xander Stone may be painted as a virtue signaller but you can't deny he's an honest sportsman when he's beaten.
Haha Sams funny I can't believe he stole your move. Gtfoh that was not your fathers move. He didn't invent it and im sure was used many times before he did it. Also Miguels crane kick was better than Daniels. Looked alt more powerful.

First off, learn English please, I had to get my nephew in here to translate for me.
2nd off, as someone who actually teaches Karate, both Daniel and Miguel did the kick correctly. They just did it differently,
Miguel put a lot more force behind it, you could tell in the way he leaned forward so much after it connected.
Daniel’s kick in the original movie, was much faster, and snapped back quicker, he didn’t put quite as much power into it
Both are legitimate ways to perform a Crane Kick.
So im going to be watching for it.
danny knight and that’s the thing, it doesn’t have to be a kick to the face, it can be a kick to the chest or stomach as well
And the version I was taught doesn’t involve the fancy stance,
You start in a basic fighting stance, pick up your back leg as if you were about to perform an offensive front kick, then jump and switch to a defensive front kick at the last second.
But like i said not a expert only know from watching.
danny knight now I’m no Kung Fu expert, but from what I do know, there are other moves that can be thrown from the Crane Stance, not just the infamous Crane Kick,
It's crazy how much Xolo has grown as an actor since this first season. He wasn't bad, but per say, but it feels much more natural now
He has gotten more calls to play other roles in movies. I think because of his popularity in the Cobra Kai series and his acting has improved tremendously in each season. He supposed to play the main character in a movie called Blue Beetle. It supposed to be a major movie based on a Marvel superhero I think. I think him being in Cobra Kai has helped him improve his acting skills to take on better roles in major movies. I expect to see a lot of him in the future playing in major films after he's done with Cobra Kai.
John Kreese: We do not train to be mercy for year, mercy is for the week. Here on the street and competition, the man who can front you, he is the enemy and enemies deserves no mercy. What is the problem, Mr. Lawrence?
Daniel: Hey come on, let's forget this.
Miyagi: Wait, not yet.
I like how they didnt change who Johnny is, "kick that pansy in the face" is exactly what johnny would say
The little cobra looks like wormser from revenge of the nerds
Can we take a moment to appreciate just how adorable Mig's grandma is.
The crane technique was developed long ago he didn't steal it
I like how they all have their own versions
4:25 MIGUELS BARK THO 💀💀💀😂😂😂😂
Payback for Johnny.
Back when Miguel was a complete badass
Season 2 Miguel was his peak
miguel is the strongest if he wasn't injured
Keep in mind Miguel still hasn't lost a fight in the show yet. Obviously not counting the ones before he knew HOW to fight.
@@gagetaylor192 Yeah nobody beats Miguel in a 3round fight. Only people who will come close is Hawk and Robby😂💯 Crazy how they sent Miguel to Mexico to get him out of the fight loop hopefully he comes back stronger
Then he gonna land that tornado kick onto robbies jaw 😂👊@@miles6592
“Yes Aisha”, she’s probably like “why is Sam even trying to support me after all the BS she has done?!” And didn’t she mentioned supposedly that all cobra kai people are BS?
Dossnt matter. Sam is supporting her BFF aka the one she left. But still recognizes that. That's a good person
I love that Johnny is taking shots like that kick isn’t the reason he let his life fall in the shitter lmfao.
''i don't believe he stole your move''
miyagi from heaven: sure...
I miss the good old days of cobra kai. The new ones are sad and less fights.
Just like the Karate Kid one, Cobra Kai is the misunderstood heroes once again...
The one with the Mohawk is so good at karate!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️so cool
Not best, but not worst, little bit slow. Looks like having some experience with martial arts in real life. Most of these actors doesn't.
1:44 What is a capoeira fighter doing in a KARATE tournament?? Also, why are there no category divisions? Like age, weight and moreover GENDER??
Cause not every tournament has the same rules....
I dont think any tournament in the world can work like that...
@@CainNuke I thought females said they were equal to men like us.
that guy in blue is probably the most normal one in there LOL, a seems like a great dude. hope to see him dominate in future
Poor Bert. Never stood a chance. Can't wait for his redemption in Season 2.
Sensei. I think I'm going to sit this one out. I'll just get my ass kicked.
The hell you will. This time we're putting you in the junior division.
...There's a junior division?
He's gonna hit puberty in a few seasons from now, and he'll be an interesting character
Just came back to see how badass Miguel once was, hope he can return to this state or even better in S5
Miguel lost a lot but he slowly seemed to get it back season 4! I think he just rushed too soon because fighting kyler you could see glimpses or maybe that was sheer determination!
1:18 Super Saiyan mohawk is a thing
That was too funny. The ultimate troll job.
Poor Bert. Never had a chance to score.
Hunter Cox True but if he was skilled enough, he might have had some chance to take him on. Hopefully, Bert will develop by Season 2.
Why the hell is he wearing a black belt, nobody except miguel, hawk and aishia really should have entered the tourney
Bert is small, but will train and end up a mighty warrior.
Timothy Kwoh I can vouch for him when I wrestled in high school for my first match I lost, but the difference is that I never got to wrestle again because of my grades in economics
Just wait for the actor to hit puberty and adolescence, maybe the director will ask him to buff up for the next seasons. I want to see him have the same transformation as Hawk.
I like how that in this season, Johnny was pretty much Kreese II, right down to the raised fist when his student wins, and the black sleeveless outfit
At least at the end it was honorable
Man fights got so much better since then.
miguel's mom seemed really pleased
with that brutal and violent kick to
that poor bastards face.
he's such a sweet boy, my miguel.
looking back, I kinda hope Bert wins the next All Valley tournament, I mean the guy is fighting people way taller and potentially stronger, but doesn't back down. That's some true bravery and strength right there.
"Cant believe he stole your move"
WTF?!!!!!
Bert is the heart of cobra kai
