That feeling when the sump is bigger than any your tanks. 😂 Absolute showstopper of a tank and the wild caught Altums are the perfect fish and they deserve the attention, so another not too colorful shoaling fish like a bigger Moenkausia, maybe pittieri... or wild thought, Moenkhausia heikoi, to complete the full Heiko Bleher set. 🤔

Wild caught discus surely!
And a group of tetras like Columbian or Dimond. Maybe some larger pencil fish also?
And also a few Apistogramma pairs like Borellii…

Some Harlequin Rasbora might be a lovely addition, they'll be a bit chunkier and different shape than the rummynose with this beautiful iridescent purple/orange - ish hue.
I saw those angel fish at Petco. They're very nice.
Cichlids like the Silver Dollar, (Micro) Geophagus, Severums stuff like that, ore Discus

I think a Siamese Algae eater would be cool, I have a few and love them. You could also look at getting Emperor tetra as they have a good size as well

What fish to add Hmm , even if the wallet has blown through the roof enough, i would love to see some more rare fish. A schoolar fish, hundreds and hundreds of em. Haha

Instead of the angel fish I would have filled that with like 1000 chili rasboras. They would easily navigate through all those branches and make use of all the space in there.

Fishwise I would just triple the rummy nose count. Beacause of the angelfish presence the rummynose might keep schooling all day long this way.

How do you trim the plants? Snorkel and swimsuit? I want to go tall 70-80cm for the discus tank I am planning but I am worried of the maintenance since I won't be able to reach
This is beautiful and amazing. Sometime can you comment on what amount of floating plants is the right amount--beneficial but not blocking too much light. I am faced with that question currently.
Good question! Really difficult to answer though. It depends on the setup, but I wouldn't have my floating plants cover more than 25% of the surface

i really need your help, sorry nothing to do with the video, but id like to know if there is a stop valve or something for the starter kits, every time i need to close or open and it messes with the bubble counting, and i lose lots of co2 and time setting the bubbles again... its a bit of a pain. thanks in advance

Superb!, makes me disappointed with my Altum aquarium. Do you have any details about the lighting, particularly the colour spectrum? To my eyes (and appreciate can look different on a screen) it looks quite blue/white which is perfect and exactly what I am looking for.

The lights used on this tank are the skylight hyperspot, they are adjustable so I'm not 100% sure on the spectrum.
Amazing tanks and setup! Have some mixed feelings on wild caught fish... Should we keep on taking animals from nature and locking them up in fish tanks? Shouldn't we try to use indoor bred animals instead... Just a thought...

What magnet scraper is he using?
Tunze power magnet. It’s been officially discontinued, but you can still find it for sale. It’s a damn big and strong magnet. I’m using filter floss pads on the inside magnet, with weekly maintenance it’s a breeze to keep the glass clean

I would put 2 small overflow towers on each side. It would look way better than the big one in the center.. anyways..
I've heard a lot about mosquito larvae to be "beneficial" to the fish while they are in their first 2 years. Simon Forkel is one of the guys who does mosquito larvae "without any problems". How bad that can be? I mean... in he wild they must feed on mosquito larvae, right? I am not in favor of mosquito larvae because they need a lot of protein to grow as they should and if mosquito larvae is the main source of that protein we would have to feed a lot of it to them. Mosquito larvae is not friendly to the guts of the fish and can cause digestive problems in the long run because of the structures of the larvae.
I give frozen blood worms from Hikari with also Hikari mysis shrimps, with a bunch of dry foods. The Hikai blood worms is passed through UV 3 times to kill any pathogens present in them. It's a Japanese product with high quality. Whatever they like to eat dry I offer. You name it! Their growth is exceptional!

Water changes? How often? RO?
What do you have in that sump? How many liters? etc..
Where did you get the fish from?
Please make sure you quarantine every single fish before you introduce in that system!

Sustainable fishing helps protect the habitats. If local fishermen don’t have job, the habitats will become polluted or destroyed and turned into palm tree plantations
That kind of fishing is the main reason some of the areas these fish are caught are still exsisting..

In the past i had 2 Angle fish 6 inches and i gave them away ,stupid me . 2000 euros ,that is bullocks ,i had black with orange stripes
No matter if you pay 20€ or 2000€ in Angelfish. They will always spend the 99% of their time stucked in the corner of the tank.
