Thank you for allowing artist to share their experience. What a gift .
Watching from New Jersey a few days late on Saturday. I'm enjoying this demo. The best part of watching the videos late, I can rewind parts to listen to the artists talk about their paintings. Plus, the paintings look large on my TV. Amazing! Thank you. Happy late Valentine's and Happy birthday to the triplets, Eric.
Lots of inspiration today. Love Marc’s reflections and like his description of looking into the water versus looking out at the water.
I love the reasoning you give for colors under water, shadows and reflections of light and colors.
Good one Eric and Marc, yes when I lived in the Lake Tahoe area, years ago, I painted the lake water there, in oils, many times at the shoreline. You can sometimes see fifty feet down, but you don't want to do that, but some transparency is good for the effect. I had a friend who often painted with me, but in watercolors. He routinely brought bottled water with him, so, I said "use the lake water", and then told him to say that his paintings were "painted with actual Lake Tahoe water", ...... "they sold like hot cakes then"!! LOL :D
Greetings from AZ, not that much open water to paint here, but some. LOL ;D
The best demo of dark and light in the shore, thank you so much for sharing your experience and talent.
Looks like a Minnesota shoreline. Beautiful painting and great demonstration of reflexions. From Minnesota, Iowa, and now Missouri.
I am watching from St. Kitts in the Caribbean. It is very interesting to see how Marc achieves the translucency of the water, with its shadows and reflections.

NJ watching!
greetings from the Philippines
Nice demo Eric, I’m watching from the Isle of Wight off the South Coast of the UK.
Relate to the comment about driving a short distance to the opposite coastline to paint both sunrise and sunset.
We have that adventure too in most places here in New Zealand. I live in the Far North which is one of the narrowest areas of the North Island. It’s approximately an hour to hour and a half to drive from the East coast to the West Coast, traffic depending.
People tend to drive on island time up this area of the country.
