Gibson 63. I've been working on my '65 Buick Gran Sport for over a year now and every once in awhile I get the feeling I'm never going to get it done. Then I just watch your amazing work, get motivated and tackle another rusty panel. Thanks for the insipration!
You're remarkable workmanship throughout all your restoration videos, clearly shows that with a lot of hard work / patience & the desire to learn from others , that a project like this can be done by doing it yourself.: ) Once again your level of detail restoring this truck to a SHOW QUALITY level is truly BREATH TAKING to say the least . Thank you so much for sharing these videos with myself & others who are thinking of or are already in the process of doing a car/ truck restoration . Please keep these videos uploaded here on TH-cam for many more years , thank you & take care .
I watched all you video's today you did a great job on this truck. Thanks for filming everything I have a 56 that I'm going to be starting soon.Watching your vids put it all in place for me thanks for the inspiration. can't wait to see the finished product!
I know I'm late to the party, but dang those doors look sweet! Great inspiration and info. I'm planning to repaint (same color) my cab interior. Can you tell me, for the doors interior, how much paint did you prepare? I don't have a lot of experience and would like to not mix too much. A couple people told me a quart, single stage, would cover the whole interior?
Wow! Excellent! I watch videos like this and it kind of lets the wind out of my sails. My truck restore will never be as good as yours. But, hey, If I can do half as good as you I will be happy.
Gibson! I am a fan of yours! I saw your videos over and over again, I'm from San Juan, Argentina! I would like to paint my C10 the same color as your truck, Red, could you tell me the color code? I thank you very much, although I do not understand the language, I learn a lot!
Just stumbled upon your videos from the summer here… nice work. Love your attention to detail; remind me of how I work. Learning watching you. Glad you showed some of the buffing work at the end. Wanted to see how that was done with the buffing tool. I'm starting a restoration of a '67 F100 and pulling it apart now. I will be at this stage in the spring of '15. Thanks for sharing the experiences! Subscribing. Clay
I am learning sooooo much from watching you work. I am in awe to what detail you do everything, I think you have the ability to show your truck in the Detroit Autorama when your done with it. I have a question that I ask only because I am still learning at this, why did you only paint the inside of your doors and not both sides? It looks great and I am looking forward to more videos of your project and hope to start on my 67 Impala with what I have learned from your videos.
Love watching your videos , sure have learned a lot . If I decide to do my own painting , I will definitely be doing that part inside a large portable canvas garage ( with exhaust fans ) to eliminate all overspray from inside my main shop . I see that you setup a few fans by the garage roll up door & hung up some plastic to keep overspray from settling all over to a minimum : )
Thanks man that would be a great idea wish I had a bigger area to paint but it worked out fine will not be painting any more in this shop after my truck is complete
the perfect it system is awesome , thats what I use. The only thing I do different is after the buffing is done I use a breathable protectant (formulated for NEW paint) called Shine Master by Wizards. Its the last step I do to protect the finish. Then after a few months I use regular wax.
you must have a talent for spraying, I wath the gunman and it is discouraging cos of expensive gun so if you don't mind me asking what is the brand gun u use......goedendag
I just know it will be finished on the other side yeah it cost more time and money on tape and things but it's just the way I wanted to do it thank for watching man
all the proof that a good job begins by a good base, a good process and a good finish probably that these doors are better than the original as originally, often, there even no paint in the inside of the panels. I've often replaced doorskins that were bare metal on the non apparent side ...american bullshit!!!!!

I'm doing an 84 short wide and agree! Don't have a lot of time so good to see what progress looks like

To me it was easier to do one side at a time and complete the inside of the cab and then focus on all the outside panels
And I'm like you man, I learn from watching other people like you on TH-cam
looks real good steve,i always like the buffing part, reayl brings the color to life, nice job
Didn't realy know how much work was in cut and buff until I started thanks man
Do each of the polishing pads last through enough use and cleaning to do the whole project or did you need a few?
Looking very good. You are going to one fine truck when it's done. Your attention to detail is top notch.
Thank
Great job Mr Gibson ,you are watched in Europe, greetings from Croatia.
Wonderful

Amazing video! How did you buff in the grooves in the door?
The grooves are raised so I went around with the big buffer pretty easy, on hard to reach places I use my drill with a small buffing pad
That paint looks amazing, looks better than a brand new car.
is that single stage paint? looks great
It’s Basecoat Clearcoat
Great job we need more
what type of paint is that ?
Looks sweet!
That glasurit really looks good. How did you make the choice to use it. Rich good color , and wet.
A lot of custom body shops around here use the glasurit seen a lot of good results so I'm giving it a shot
Looks like you made a good choice .. I enjoy videos , thanks...
Hey brother what brand base/clear auto paint are you using? I dont recognize that brand. Im always trying different brands.
Looks really good awesome
love the background music :)
How long did you wait before you shot your clear coat? If you don't mind can you let me know.
It was like 90* that day so I had time to clean my gun from shooting the base coat so I waited about 45 min to an hour
Nice work!
What kind of paint did you use? Single stage urethane ,synthetic enamel or 2pack? Wonderful job.
Glasurit paint base coat clear coat
Nice job!
You have both my appreciation and respect. Did you need to refill your paint gun with red during this process.
Can’t really remember if I had to refill or not, but that cup held a lot of paint, thanks for watching
Very nice !
very nice work
I made this mistake once and everything in the garage was covered with overspray. Looks good though.😊
that sucks. i did my roommates garage to. opps!!

Very nice. I wonder if you will have to buff it again in a couple of weeks once the paint completely cures?
Don't realy know I was told after 24 hours so will just see
