As somebody who had to learn how to speak from severe stuttering this is actually how it feels I have used one of these before and it's the exact same feeling and really brings me back Still suffer but really good at hiding it 😅
I used to work at McDonald's, you can also hear your own voice with a slight delay when you work in the drive through. It's REALLY annoying when you're just starting out, but you get used to it at some point.
The loudspeaker at one of the stores I used to work at was slightly delayed and caused this effect. Everyone did earmuff hands when they did announcements to cancel the effect.
This is always what happened when i jumped on mic with a friend who liked using her Playstation camera instead of a headset for voice chatting (no judgement on her tbh, it was a claustrophobia thing iirc.) We could hear ourselves slightly delayed so talking was surprisingly hard.
It's really hard to talk over your own voice for some reason, many of us can talk over a voice that isn't right in our ears or right in front of us- I think that's a green flag. If someone can actually not be affected by this then I think that's a red flag.

They have a similar system for people that stutter that replays your own words for you and gets rid of your stutter

I wonder if this works on people with no internal monologue.
I hate it when the phones at work will occasionally briefly do this at the start of a call. Good to know it's not just me.
I got scared and thought this was recent cause I saw no beard 😬😅
These two give me slowmo guy vibes. Somethings to be said about the two guys and a microphone / camera set-up
