Hola 🌹 Gracias por pensar en todos los iniciantes en puntillismo 👏👏👏.me gustan mucho tus videos ,son de calidad ,con mucha enseñanza.Sludos desde Costa Rica 🇨🇷 PURA VIDA 👍
Thank you so much Marcy. I always wanted to see you painting a rock. You nailed. Absolutely gorgeous. And you always use the most beautiful colors. Thank you my darling ❤❤❤❤❤
Being new to this art form I really appreciated this beginner level project. I look forward to your new series for beginners, even though I am a senior (73) and I am retired. Thank you for creating this new series. Barbara
Barbara, you're never too old to start something new! In fact, I hear that retirement is the best time to become a master artist-who needs a 9 to 5 when you have creativity waiting to burst out? 😉
IF you do choose a rock from the garden, be sure to find a SMOOTH surface to paint on. Today, I started a project. It's not off to a good start. Plus, you need to practice before you begin. You all make it look so easy. But I'm going to keep at it.
Hi Marcy! I see you havent posted a video in a while ….I check, every day….I love your content and made a couple stones after seeing this video.. they are really cool!😁
Hi Kelly! Yes i haven't had many videos out lately, i have been swamped with a lot of Art festivals I am attending and i took a few weeks off of you tube. I'm still recording and are planning having more coming out soon.
Hi Jan! Thanks for reaching out! So two things, if the paint is wet, I like to use small dampen qtips and wipe off the area you made your mistake. If it has dried already and you notice it, you can do the same procedure with a damp qtip and just push around the paint. it should come up eventually. Or if its a plump dot that has dried i take something sharp and peel up the dot, then apply my base coat color over any left over paint that didnt come off. Its best to catch it right away. Maybe I'll make a future video about fixing mistakes.
Hi,Marcy, do u always add the flow aid to your paint? I always thought the decoart americana didnt need to be thinned…? Why are u adding it? Should i,be adding it? Ive bought some medium that thickens paint and it gives my brush strokes more dimension…just a pea sized amount in a 5 ml container does the trick…i,dont always do it but its neat sometimes!
Hi Kelly, Yes, I usually add floetrol to my paint. Some may say you don't need to add to decoart, however my personal preference i find a better consistency when i use floetrol vs. when i use out of the bottle. It depends on the air climate you are in too. I work in an area where it's very dry, so my paint tends to start drying within 5 mins, the flow aid helps prolong that. Humidity can effect that too. So it really depends on where you live. I normally don't use thick hard body paints that need thinning. Great advice for giving dimensional look to your brushstrokes.

Thank you Marcy you are so generous sharing your talents xx
I started school at Strasberg Elementary, before we moved to Louisville, KY. Mrs. Drake was my first grade teacher. Thanks for priming the memory,

Thank you for doing a beginner’s guide. I’ve only been doing this for a couple of weeks and it’s definitely more challenging than it looks.
Hang in there, we all started from scratch! You got this!

How do you correct mistakes 1) if the paint is still wet and 2) if you notice when the paint has dried ?
Thanks
Jan
