Just to clarify I was mistaken, the Luchs can only reach T7 tanks - the replay I saw of another killer game was a Luchs platooned with a high tier SPG,
QuickyBabyTV I had intentions of grinding through the light tank line, but the new tier 7 is going to be something out of character with the existing set. I'm really not a fan of the Sp1c.
dobiem1 I was thinking the same, but at my first game yesterday I killed 4 T8 tanks and did about 2500 dmg. And after that I had about 60% win rate in my Sp1c. Now I can't reccomend it enough. Try it, you won't regret it. All the best! :)

QuickyBabyTV I see that nobody wants to go on the Luchs line because of the new tier 7,The Spahpanzer SP 1 C is a very good little tank,it has a 90 mm with 240 alpha damage,pretty good mobility,quite bad rate of fire but is a great replacement,I loved my Afk.Panther was a bit big and had a bad pen with the conic 7.5 but it was great for ramming and when you entered in tier 10 games it was quite hard to carry but I love now even much more but SP 1C!!!Enjoy playing!
Actually he was lucky tu survive the encounter with this passive 38T n.A: I'm driving both, the Luchs and the 38t and I find the Luchs better for taking out opportunity vehicles running across at full speed, but the 38T has better view range, better armor, fast long range gun and speed meaning you have play it different, but when I go hunting for Luchs, the 38t n.A is the weapon of choice

You really need to wait a moment between each 2-shot salvo to let the aiming circle settle down. By the way, the Luchs only is matched up to tier 7 not 8.

Funny Farmer That was his problem. He kept firing it full auto. Even at close range, I use controlled bursts unless my gun is jammed into their tank. But I've gotten a tank sniper medal in my Luchs before, using the 3cm, all you need to do is let the gun aim.

The luchs is way better than the tier 5 leopard in my opinion, im at leopard now and i dont like it at all..

jesse van vliet The leopard is also more of a anti-scout since it is the heaviest tier 5 scout, so don't be afraid to ram light weight vehicles like other scouts or even a hellcat.
95 pen and a bigger target are the huge letdowns of the leopard. 95 pen against is-3s/ferdies/tiger IIs isn't really good.

I absolutely hated this vehicle the two times I had to play through its tech tree, it's incredibly slow for a light, it's gun rarely heels me, it obviously has no armor, and for a light, is a little tall, and is way too blocky.
Oh come on people, stop giving so many fucks about what tiers the tank currently has to fight. Not so long ago almost all tier 4 light had to fight tier 8 tanks, even the ones that were not in light tank lines.
If you go to Dreadshell's channel, he discusses how he played this game in detail. Valuable info for the player who wants to improve light tank gameplay.

That being said... the Leopard at T5 is not worse, its a better tank, it only gets worse MM. That makes it seem like its worse. Gun handling is actually ways better, also you can ram some shit and live to tell the tale. :P
Tom Sheep Right, that's the thing...the Leopard is technically better in most ways, but it's worse *for its tier*.
In a straight up fight, a Luchs will lose to a Leopard, but when it comes down to it, the Luchs can contribute better in most of the matches it gets into.
The Luchs also isn't horribly fat and easy to hit :v

Put a Luchs and a Leopard side by side and try to tell me again how it's "not so big". It's like a Luchs that ate too many twinkies and decided to slap on some sloped front plate to cover up its rolls :

true a little worse power to weight, but Leopard has better terrain resist, so they should have same acceleration. And it was more fun to have that acceleration on a heavier tank with 50 mm armor (cause rams). Leopard has better turret traverse and track traverse so it isn't less maneuverable. With that ''high quality'' I was mostly thinking about the gun. that accuracy increase and especially aim time of 2.1 (on Luchs) and 1.7 s (on Leopard) means a LOT on an autocanon such as this one, as does the 3 shell clip (on the Leopard) compared to the 2 shell clip (on the Luchs). Leopard was so much more scout like and more reliable to me so I liked it more. But Luchs is stronker in its tier and it gets to be top tier now and then, and then you just rape the enemy team in your humble scout tank. Something that no other scout T5-T8 can get.

0:19 Luchs will never see T8s unless failtooning. It has normal scout mm which is +3 max.

hall0 actually, it did for some time. There was a period where it was tier IV and met tier VIII, but it doesn't anymore, which means his comment is still irrelevant. But it did meet tier VIII.

I remember when i played this tank, it was a lot of fun, even with more brutal MatchMaking, tier 4s back then could see tier 9s. A great tank, no matter what match up it came across, definitely a lot of fun!
i have one nice ace tanker with churchill 3 ( 9 kills 2200 dmg 1800 xp) and one with fv3805 (5700dm 1 really lucky shot) but i dont know how to send them, pls help

Tier IV light tanks are absolute monsters in tier V games, even the horrible A-20 just murders tier Vs let alone the Luchs.

The luchs might be good but i get saddly 80% tier 7 rounds 10% tier 6 and rarely tier 5 or 4 ones. That is clearly the inderect nerv to this tank....

I got my Luchs yesterday and I free experienced all the upgrades and my first game was a clutch game and I got 8 kills and over 2,300 damage

It gives the actual traverse speed of tanks based on power to weight ratios. The Luchs has an actual 77 degree traverse speed, more than double than what is listed. This is because the difference between the stock and top engine is phenomenal

Totally enjoyed Luchs and Leopard. I'm currently grinding my VK 28.01 (really wanna see that 105mm cannon in action) and I really hope I'll reach SP 1 C and RU 251 soon ^.^ Btw, maybe others stated it too, but Luchs can meet only tier VII opponents, so no Ferdinand for him, maybe only some JPanthers ^.^

1.) The Luchs is a Tier IV light tank
2.) The Luchs can see vehicles up to tier 7 (not tier 8) AND can take part in tier 4 battles (which makes it totally fair and well belenced)

Dear Quickybaby,Could you please make a video about how to play World of Tanks properly and maybe give people some hints and tips for specific types of tanks and so on. This game is so frustrating for me lately, I totally suck, but still I would like to learn how to play this game and how to actually have an impact on games. I am on the verge of quitting this game because I just seem to die off early in my Luchs, for example, this is pissing me off, as I said before, and I don't think I'm the only one who has this frustration. I think it'd be really nice if you could make a video about it so that I can "enjoy" the game, rather than just sitting here in frustration, thinking about how I could have played it better. Also, it would be nice if you could include specific tips on how to play as a team in random battles. I always try to follow the group, even if it's a stupid idea because if I am sitting alone on the hill in Himmelsdorf, I'll die anyways. It's just so frustrating to die every time, and to see my WN8, which was increasing the last few months, see dropping all the way down again. In 2 weeks, I fucked up the progress I made over 2 months!Please, please! One of my friends and I were having fun and screwing around one night in platoons. I ended up using my T110E4 and he used his Luchs (it was his idea...). By end game from our first match he had 2 tier 10 kills and a tier 9 kill, all lightly armored tanks, but still impressive for a tier 4...
It's now almost a tradition of ours to do the same platoon, Luchs and E4, every time we platoon, until he gets a kill. Normally it only takes 1 match.
Couple of points. The luchs (and other tier 4 scouts) gets tier 4 - tier 7. They used to get 4 - 8 but WG changed it. It is fair to compare it to the 38 NA, because they both get the same MM and are supposed to fill the same role, the comparison isn't very balanced, the Luchs basically just wins (pz does get a 1.3 second aim time so... that something).
Damnit, now I want a Luchs again.

Seriously the best light tank there is, great p/w, great autocannon, very small and agile, extremely easy to juke, flank, circle, and slaughter, and you can drift it pretty much on command.
I miss this map...
When i played luchs that 30 mm had just 8 shots now it have 10 😃
Ah you were most likely using the starting turret, the 5cm turret gives it better gun handling and two more shots

I liked the Luchs, but I honestly preferred the pz 38 na. 130 pen on prem rounds and 2.5 sec reload lets me do a but ton of dmg in even tier 7 games :D. Better Top speed, 10 less HP, 60hp better engine, 50 mm armor front of hull and turret. The only problem I have is the Turret traverse speed. The luchs has an extra 10 more degrees per second. Thats Just my 2 cents.

Leon Haven I have both. For effectiveness in tier range, the Luchs is better, in my opinion. Smaller, faster, more maneuverable, and the tanks it faces are more vulnerable to the gun.
Still, I can see why some might like the Leopard. Much, much better gun handling, and the armor/weight occasionally comes in handy...
Luchs is better at being a pure light tank. Leopard is slightly more "balanced", granting it a little bit of flexibility; sometimes it can be a light medium if it needs to.

I had a game once in my KV-4, I was the last tank left alive from my team, while the enemy team had a platoon of 2 Luchs...obviously the KV-4 is too slow to kill them so I tried to cap, couldn't do that either because they kept reseting it by taking my tracks off...that was a very frustrating draw...
When you compare the Luchs to the M5 Stuart, better manoeuvrability, better gun, it just doesn't seem fair does it. ;) Great vid quickybaby, a joy to watch!
I got the Luchs way back and was focused on running down the line. So I just recently picked up a PZ 1 c to practice my driving and train up a crew to buy the Luchs again. I find their are times that dropping down from the higher tiers and bombing around the map is a fun way blow off some steam. I have also started to really enjoy trying to spot more. Instead of crying in chat about light tanks not doing their job, I figure maybe I'll just do it myself.

I switched from the VK 28.01to the Luchs, it's like night and day difference. Love the luchs even with the first gun, I will try the auto-gun. ;)
The Luchs is one of the most hated autospammers in the game. F everyone who uses this vehicle and others like it to just do nothing but troll. Which means basically everyone because all anyone has to do is roll around clicking auto-aim and holding down the left mouse button. Instant kill for almost any tank, and then they can roll on with half a magazine still full and do it again. F all autospamming vehicles like the luchs. Get in a real tank and build some skills up. Don't just go for the noob spam-cannons. >:(
whenever QB says "Spähpanzer" it somewhat sounds like Speerpanzer, wich would mean Spear tank, wich is pretty awsome if you think about it :D
i have the luchs and it is so overpowered because it can deal with tier 1-5 and maybe tier 6!!!! IT IS SUCH A FUN LIGHT TANK
Me favorite tank(light) is the Luchs surprisingly, too. Secrets; I killed a KV2 at close range, and the Kv2 was at 17% health.

I played the Luchs when it DID see Tier 8 games...it was still quite fun even then, provided you were VERY careful and sneaky.

Yeah, autocannon would be the definition of the 30mm gun on the luchs. Autoloaders still need a trigger pull for each shot and use a lot smaller magazines while autocannons are basically oversized belt, box or stripper clip fed machineguns shooting shells, steel shot or apcr/apfsds instead of lead slugs.
The Luchs is a great Tank QB. I would almost say its borderline OP but it is pretty darn fun for a T4 LT. I would fully recommend it to anyone who wants the ultimate assassin at T4

I actually prefere the pz38na... i love the little thing, it is invisible with good crew.... But do almost nothing but passive scouting in it.

as an average at best wot player, this replay reminded me of an unbelievable match i had on this map in the amx40. somehow a scrub like me managed to kill 14 of the 15 enemies. as for the luchs i only recently got 1 and standard its not much fun, this vid at least gives me motivation to stick at it and get it upgraded
Even Tier Vll artillery has the Same amount of hitpionts like the G.W. Panther (350/360 i guess )
makes me wish i not recorded my sherman game where i scored 13-14 kills , including 1 shoting full HP kv1 , 8 kills were when all my team was down so was 1 vs 8

The Luchs takes some getting used too, mostly because of that gun. Because it is short range only and unloads a magazine so fast, it acts more like a shotgun. Once you get used to it though, you will learn that it has a lot of capability.

this reminds me of classic chaffee. i remember the few times where i could get tier 5 games (like once in a millenia that would happen) and ripping apart churchills and kv1s

You may love the Luchs, but I hate matchmaking. Also, most of my tanks have no armor and horrible penetration.
pz. 38 t na is my favorite tier 4 German light tank with its low damage gun but its fire rate and penetration is great its armor can bounce quite a frew shots but for some really odd reason it draws Russian light tanks to ram it lol but at least they fail every time

Ive been playing the luchs a lot lately and to be honest i never looked at the stats. I havent noticed the traverse being harmful at all, if anything it turns too quick and slides a lot of the time. Over all this is a wonderful tank and its so much fun to play

11 kills in a tier 5 game is not that impressive in the luchs. The luchs is easy. I can get top guns in tier 7 with it pretty easy. Show me 9 kills in tier 7 then ill be impressed.
