What are lords through houses in astrology, lords through houses simply means when a planet that controls a certain zodiac sign is sitting in a different house and zodiac sign of a horoscope chart. In astrology there are 12 houses and 12 signs, each sing and house is govern by a certain planet, but since planets are always moving in the sky they are never in their own house or house for most of the time, rather, they are sitting in different zodiac sign and house. This means the lord (planet) is away certain houses from the house it rules. This is why for example 3rd lord if in 6th house means if Aries is in the 3rd house and lord of that sign is Mars who is sitting in the 6th house, we say 3rd lord in the 6th house.
These videos are based on the ancient science of Vedic Astrology known as Jyotish in India. These programs are to educate everyone on the importance and accuracy of astrology why it still matters. Astrology is not so easy to understand and it's not that difficult to master. So basically each house is govern by certain zodiac sign. And Each Zodiac sign is ruled by a specific planet (which we call it Lord). So eg when 2nd house has sign Leo and planet Sun is in the 6th house, we can say that -------- "the Lord of the 2nd House is sitting in 6th house". Please reply kapiel. Please correct me if am wrong. Another tip guys, do use Bhav Chalit chart with Rasi chart for interpretations. The Bhav Chalit chart was not used by many astrologers in the recent past and even now because of lack of birth time accuracy.
Rasi Chart -> Use for house lords, conjunctions and aspects
Bhav-Chalit --> Use for house placement.
For example, for Pisces Ascendant, Mars will always rule the 2nd and 9th house. So now go and see the placement of Mars in Bhav-Chalit chart. Lets say, for the earlier example, the Bhav-Chalit shows Aries ascendant instead of Pisces and Mars is in Gemini. This means Mars will behave as if it is in 3rd house and NOT 4th house.

...I love your videos , but im a little lost what if you have the same lord in two consecutive houses? For instance I have cancer in the the 2nd and 3rd house as well ; does that throw off everything I've watched about gemini rising? Again wonderful videos!

Would the energy of a planet sitting on a house also be carried onto whichever house the first lord house is? (I have Saturn on my 2nd house (Aries) and the ruler of that house is in the 7th house (Virgo), Would having Saturn sitting on the 2nd house also affect my 7th house?) Thank you so much.

I've asked this question quite a few times now. If the 3rd lord in main horoscope is in 8t house but in the navamsha chart the 3rd lord (a different planet) is in 2nd house and in some other chart, that chart's 3rd lord is in 1st house, can the analysis given by you be applied to all the charts. If yes, then which chart is most important?
What about planets that are rulers over two signs? They also rule two houses then and both influences go into the residence of the ruler, right? Are both house rulerships equally important then or is the house of the Mul-Trikon sign more important?

I think you should also videos regarding just the Houses and Signs and what they represent, for a better understanding for those who are new to vedic astrology like 2nd house represent family, status, assets, jewels..etc and like gemini which is air sign and represents communication, deals, marketing, writing, mating..etc
I still do not understand how and what my lord is. there are only 7 planets but 12 lords how does it workout? and is 3th lord is aries what? aries should be the 1 right? I dont understand

Does the concept of quadrants apply to D9 as well. So if in D1 the cluster of maximum number of planets is in one quadrant. In D9 the cluster changes to a different quadrant, does it mean that after marriage/35 years of age, the focus of the person will change accordingly ( based on D9 quadrant)

As explained by you the effects of a certain house lord placed in a certain house but the results/effects are same for all the planets also.
For eg:
What if Venus lord of 3 rd house placed in 12th house & if saturn is the lord of 3rd house placed in 12th house produce same results irrespective in the difference of both planets characteristics.
How do you find out or where do you go to find out where the "Lords" are through the day/month? Is there a page we can go to that tells you where the planets are instead of just listening to some astrologer on U tube?

Kapiel, Example, For a scorpio asc if Venus sits in the 9th, it brings the karakatvas of the 7th and 12th into the 9th. Does it bring both houses' fully or does it depend on the bhaav bala?

I find this concept so difficult to understand....I have watched every video I can find on it and have numerous Vedic astrology books. I'm not an idiot but from everything I have seen I am not finding anything that explains this simply. Perhaps I have some outrageous block with this particular topic. Can anyone please help?
if i understand this correctly this is what you do with empty houses. to make it simple: look at the cusp of a house, and note the number of that house and the sign its in. thats the lord. check that sign's ruling planet's placement in the chart. thats the house.

I think the doubt is this, 1) Do the lords change for each person? 2) For instance I had assumed that the 6th Lord was always Mercury because Virgo rules this house and Virgo is ruled by Mercury? 3) My 1st house is empty and ascendant is supposed to be in the 2nd house, how does that work? But @Tania Mendonca seems to make it easy, @KRSChannel is she right?

So using this reference table I found: What I do is check which sign the Ascendant is (first lord is Ascendant) , then convert that to whichever planet.. so if it's say Cancer Ascendant, I say ok that's Moon... then I check what house is the moon in. If moon is in 7th house then I can say 1st lord in 7th house Moon. Is that right?
Where I get confused is after Saturn I don't know what planet to do for the next lord.. so I only figure out 8 I think on my own.

He's doing everything methodically, now its the 3rd lord in all houses going on. Then there'll be 4th lord in all houses and so on.
I get the general gist of this.The only thing I don't get is how it impacts intercepted houses. I'm a Capricorn Rising. My first house is intercepted by Aquarius and it contains Saturn (also in Aquarius). What would this present as where my Saturn is concerned? It doesn't have a house to lord over? Would Uranus (Capricorn ruler) be the lord over both the doubled houses? Can someone please help me? I would really appreciate it. Thanks
Taylor H I think I got it. My ascendant is Aquarius. Saturn rules Aquarius. So that means my 1st house lord is Saturn. I also have Saturn in my 12th house. So it's 1st lord in 12th house. Hope this helps

With Sagittarius on the 1st house, the ruler of Sagittarius is Jupiter. So, if Jupiter is in the 10th house the 1st lord is in the 10th house? If Mars is in Aries in the 4th house and also rules the 4th and 11th houses then Mars is the lord of the 4th?

Third lord Capricorn. A planet Mars is control Aris, Aris is in the third house, and scorpio is in the ten house. Aris and scorpio is control by mars, mars is sitting in six house.

I'm running through my saturn mahadasha.
My saturn(retograde) is in 11th house in satabhisha nakshaktra. Aspected by mars(D) ,libra rahu and jupiter. And in d-9 its in 8th house in capricon.recieving aspect from mars(D).
What i can expect from my sat. Mahadasha.
Example:
1st lord in second house
1st=first house
Lord=lord of Rashi(zodiac sign) in 1st house
2nd house:lord is actually sitting in 2 nd house

Aries is the original ruler of the first house in general. BUT, when you were born, Capricorn was rising in the East, so YOUR first house is ruled by Capricorn. Saturn is the ruler of Capricorn (which is your first house), so wherever Saturn is, that's your first house lord in the (fill in the blank) house.
