ISON was formed in 2015 on the outskirts of Gothenburg, Sweden. Inspired by Drone, Black Metal, Goth & Shoegaze, combined with a deep fascination for the astral planes and the universe. They have three release 3 LPs - COSMIC DRONE (2015), ANDROMEDA SKYLINE (2018), INNER-SPACE (2019).

Driving down an interstate with the ocean horizon on one side and a beautiful city skyline on the other. Thinking about life and love and pain and triumph.
I knew I recognized this vocalist's voice from somewhere. She is indeed Heike from Draconian! Glad I found this band.

The promlem with the Best of ISON is that there's no such thing as Best when it comes to ISON. All of their tracks is equally incredible.

Discovered ISON about 6 months ago, as well as two other projects :LOR3L3I: & Light Field Reverie , while looking up info about the band after purchasing her new Draconian album "Under a Godless Veil" which is also brilliant btw. I haven't found a single song or band/project she's involved with that I haven't quite enjoyed. That's quite an amazing feat imo She's a brilliant and talented artist and I hope she will continue gracing us and the world with her unique and beautiful creations for years and years to come!

It's been a moment since I've listened to Ison. It brings back bittersweet memories of long and cold winter nights alone in the snow out under the stars. In retrospect some of the best nights of my life but miserable at the time.
Kind of music early mornings in winter gets you through. My dig has always been like Sade and maxwell this genre of music is relatively new to me and I love this band now. I'm over here thinking all of this is recently released music
The visuals of the video are absolutely magnificent and the music is glorious.
Nubla is a true masterpiece, one of the best song I ever heard. I wish I can find more songs with this vibes.

This music opens the gates to my subconscious. Merging all thoughts, memories, and emotion as one. It makes me feel disconnected from myself, yet connected to the universe, overwhelmed with sadness and joy. You let go of it all and embrace everything. This music is truly profound. Well this comment aged... Badly? Really well? I'm not sure. I was also sad when I heard ISON were losing Heike, only for the new ISON album to wind up fantastic, AND imo REMINA feels like it picked up the torch from ISON but went in a different direction. We just wound up with another new fantastic project.

This is the beginning of my crawl from the bottom. Up and out of the pit of despair, up from my knees I drag across the vast empty flattened, desolate scape, leaning into the carving night winds of sand. Stepping past all my wandering and misguided footsteps from lives before like a ship through the crashing waves toward it's beckoning lighthouse upon the ancient stones. Drained of all life and holding the nothing I have left but lifeless will, I look up and ahead, and start my accent up and through the corroded rock face as the centuries of crushed limestone fall past my each and every weak grip. Up and all the way up to the very peak, where the capstone once lay all lost memories ago. And as I slowly stand to my feet, I look up to the scattered stars and gasp with my last remaining push of life, and my very last breath, to call out.... " HHOOOOOOMMMEE !!!! "
