Thanks for watching and happy painting out there!
Beautiful painting! The distance is amazing, it looks as if you could walk right into the woods.
Thank you very much Sue, that makes me feel great!
Thar turned out so nice. Full of sunshine!
Thank you! Happy painting
You organized a very complex scene into a simple value structure that you maintained throughout. First time I’ve seen you use the knife also. Well done Roy!
Thanks Steve, hope all is well man!
Excellent! I enjoyed watching you paint this, and it’s beautifully done!
Thank you Christine! Hope all is well.
Painting with the lighting from the front usually looks so flat. Cast shadows on the rolling hills made all the difference. 👏👏👏
Yeah, if I'm doing front lighting, looking for cast shadows is a first priority. Have a good one!
C'est magnifique ! J'adore !❤
Thank you Gerard!
Beautiful work Roy. I did pick up a few good points for sure. I'm struggling with a snow forest scene as well. I enjoyed watching the process.
Thanks Mike, glad it was helpful. Hope it gets you closer to where you want to go with the painting. Have a good one!
Thank ya
You're welcome
Have you done a video with just focusing on how to set up the pallet with cool and warm colors?
Amazing, Thanks 👏🏻👍🏻👌🏻‼️🪻🌷🪻
You're welcome!🙌 Happy Painting
Not quite sure what reds you had on your palette. Was the yellow lemon or cad yellow lite. Beautiful work.
Hey Jay, it was a Cad Lemon, Yellow Ochre, Cad red Light, Quinacridone red, ultramarine. (i use the Quinacridone when I don't need super dark colors) Thanks man!
Can you confirm the colors used?
Cad yellow lemon
Yellow ochre
Cad red light
Not sure which red this is
Ultramarine blue
Titanium white
THANK you!! :)
Yes, correct on all those. The other red is a Quinacradone Red. I will go back and forth between that and Alizarin depending on how deep the darks need to go.
