Piper’s Christianized hedonism is a fraud and a cheap gimmick. And “God is most glorified in us when we’re most satisfied in Him?” Give me a break. God’s glory functions independently of our “satisfaction”. The assertion is ridiculous.
We are to do all things for to glorify God. What's the good in being satisfied if it's not glorifying God?
The difference in this instance is who is responding.
Is God glorified when we "enjoy" life, even to the point of us taking the grace extended to us for granted? (Romans 6:1-8)
Or does our enjoyment come from glorifying God in everything we do?
Jesus often would say something like "I do not take glory for myself, but I give all glory to my Father in Heaven."
Christian Hedonism is heretical; it's merely Gnosticism with a different name.

The problem with capital punishment is that you cannot undo it if someone is wrongly convicted because they cannot afford a good lawyer.

He keeps brnging up abortion. The OT is a little vague on the subject. If a fetus dies from 2 separate people fighting, they paid a fine. Repeat it with me.....a fine. If they start paying an abortion tax, can we all move on to feeding the homeless or something? I'm sure you guys know that OT potion story that might or might not end the pregnancy I'm sure.
