    In this video, I take my brand new Element RC Enduro Trailrunner on its first maiden voyage straight out of the showroom to test out its climbing abilities. I have it optioned out with a more rugged bumpers and a roof rack. Additionally I have swapped out the stock ESC to my favorite brushed ESC, Hobbywing 1080 ESC. So let's go on that First Drive and see how Trailrunner performs.

    I use mine as a trail truck and my trail honcho as a combo trail/rock crawler, other then a dg1 light kit I'm leaving it stock unless my kyosho outlaw wheels fit on it

      It's a great trail truck. For me I wanted to see if I can see how much I can push the performance, so I went LCG route on it with bigger 4.75" tires.

    I think a lot of those successful climbs were due to the skill of the driver rather than the ability of the vehicle. Regardless, love that vehicle and it's scale appearance. Thanks for another great vid.

      Thanks for the compliment! But the chassis is so much more planted and stable compared to stock Enduro Sendero...it's impressive. I still have soft plastics on my Sendero as I am going to be tackling Low CG build shortly on it. I am excited to see how it will transform my Sendero. For the Trailrunner, I have some 1.9 metal beadlock wheels and 4.19" tires coming shortly which should still give the scale apperance. Can't wait to try them out.

    Quelle est la vitesse maxi en 3s?

      I am on stock motor on 3s. It's a slow one. I haven't measured it, but I think it's in the ~6mph range.

    • @martindaboville8910
      @martindaboville8910 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@BigSungHobbies 6mph??? Thats so slow😂😅 do you think It can reach 30mph with another motor/esc in 3s?

    • @BigSungHobbies
      @BigSungHobbies  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@martindaboville8910 It's a slow trail truck. I don't believe there are any trail truck out of the box that will be able to hit 30mph. Can it be done? Yes, but it will require tons of modification (more than just motor & esc), and tested on asphalt. It's not its intended purpose. Might be better to look elsewhere if you are looking for overall speed. Exocaged RC just did a speed test on his rigs. Go check that out. Pretty interesting findings.

    • @martindaboville8910
      @martindaboville8910 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@BigSungHobbies yes they are not destinated to reach high speed, but only at this scale! If you look at the real jeep rubicon settings for example, it can reach around 100mph for sure!
      This is a scale truck so it needs to reach real speeds like real cars (but at its scale we dont need to reach 100mph...)
      This is my opinion
      And you only have to change the solid rear axle and gimbals with trophy truck ones, very similar and nothing will broke at 50mph for sure!

      They have IFS kit for Trailwalker if you are interested.

    • @pauldoroff6973

      The ifs kit might possibly retrofit into an axial scx2 chassis,what I've heard anyway

      Keep in mind that Trailrunner is not a crawler truck, but designed as a trail truck. For trail and occasional crawl, IFS work really well. The hard plastics makes a huge difference on the chassis, and I love the change. The biggest downside is the small wheel/tire combo and the overhangs of the body. I swapped out the tires/wheels to 4.19" Proline KM3 in Predator compound with metal beadlock wheels, and that made a significant difference. I can always trim the body, but I kind like the look of the body, so I will keep it as is even with all the overhangs. Also the lines that I test out the climbing is quite difficult. Stock SCX10.III and even stock TRX4-Sport have difficult time, so don't disregard it.
