Fun haul! To help with items that can't stand on their own you can use museum wax. I do dollhouse miniatures and that is what I use. The good thing about it is that it doesn't stain like blue tack, and it can be taken off and reapplied as often as you wish. It also holds very well as you can imagine. Museums are not exactly fond of their ancient bits taking flying leaps. I personally like mini wax the best but it sometimes hard to come by. Thought this might be helpful as with minis things love to fall and get lost. Like all the time.
The actual name of my favorite wax is Mini Hold in the red container and I was able to find it on Amazon. Where else. It is a little more robust, not as soft as regular museum wax. But either one is good.
It isn't a problem that they don't pose, it's authentic. The solid, un-poseable figures of Stawberry Shortcake and friends were made in the 80s and 90s too, and I have a bunch from when I was little.
I am in the states, they are a Five Below exclusive here. And mine were NOT scented...TLS customer service said not all are and I would be lucky to find the ones that do...I was lucky huh?!
They're cute, I was really into the 2000s series as a kid. Huckleberry Pie being my fav (I didn't know he was originally ginger lol) . Yeah, the chases are definitely not worth it.
The Chase figures remind me of the "Crystal Pony" MLP blind bag figurines, which were also transparent glittery plastic with painted eyes and Cutie Marks. I never liked them because they were all one color, and were boring and borderline unrecognizable compared to the full color figures. I think I like the Strawberry Shortcake Chasers even less because at least the ponies were one solid piece, but these have the neck connector plain as day! It's probably the worst on Lemon Meringue since she's so light yellow, I imagine Huckleberry would be a blue-purple, and Strawberry would be a pinky-red, but they also could conceivably be lighter shades (like a periwinkle and magenta) that might also show the neck through. The painted figures are super cute, but it makes me sad that they don't have my favorite characters, Blueberry Muffin and Angel Cake, but I guess they only wanted one Blue themed figure and gave the spot to the more popular character, Huckleberry.
It would have been really neat if they did different poses or make them flocked for the chases or something. It would be a lot nicer and it would look much better.
I used to watch strawberry shortcake when I was a kid. It was such a good show! Please can you review the fingerlings or the new Furbies? They’re so cute! Also, the new Furbies are very interactive for blind people, because you don’t need to be able to see the colours to interact with them.I finally got one and I’m so happy about it! and thank you for the descriptions, it was very easy to understand what these might feel like based on what you said.
Depending on the material the doll is made of, dipping it into hot water for 30 seconds should soften the legs enough for you to position them so the doll can stand.
My mother loves the original Strawberry Shortcake and still has some of her stuff. I remember watching her VHS Tapes and playing the board game she had. When I saw them at 5 Below I immediately thought of her and found Strawberry Shortcake for her! Idk if I’d get the others, maybe if she wanted them. But I do like some of these nostalgic booms so the new generations can enjoy. Also agree that the chasers are just so lazy! Chasers should be like fan faves that aren’t seen often or the villains or the characters in special outfits. The same figure but with cheap “crystal” plastic doesn’t do it. This was a great video!
You're a lifesaver! I saw your video, called my local TRU, put aside a doll, ran over there and got some! Waiting on the rest of the characters for the medium size dolls. :)
I’m 23 and I still have my strawberry shortcake music cd. I remember being a kid and my dad would play the cd nice and loud and I’d be dancing in the living room singing along. “Straw b-b-b-b-berry shortcake!”
I have been nostalgia dreaming about Strawberry Shortcake! Although I can't find them in the states. I used to have all of the original ones and miss them so much.
In the US I've seen some of these on the Five Below website, weirdly not Strawberry herself, but I haven't checked in stores yet. I like these but wish they could stand. I also like that they kept a more classic style, unlike the new posable figures. It would've been nice to get Blueberry Muffin in this group. I guess she'll come later. It's funny because my older sister was the one with all the Strawberry Shortcake and Rainbow Brite stuff, but I'm way more interested in this comeback.
Omg we have the same big pink popple I still have mine too! Only I'm 40 so my mom still remembes the Christmas nightmare of trying to find her in the eighties😅
for figure that cannot stand or are more likely to fall over i use museaum tack a little bit goes a long way and even when there is a earthquake they will survive
Love these little figures 😍 So adorably crafted and the scent feature is a wonderful bonus 🥰 And as a tip, invest in Museum Wax to position your figures so they don’t fall over and the adhesive won’t ruin their integrity like poster tack or hot glue 😉💖😉
Have you seen the Rainbow Brite figures? I am more in love with them than the Strawberry Shortcake ones, but alas I collected them all.....minus the chase figures.
I'm trying to find the rainbow brite figures And the strawberry short cake figures at my local five below I'll probably for my birthday in August I love the 80s retro strawberry shortcake and retro rainbow brite 👍
okay so these are at five below in the states, but i wanna say they're also supposed to be at walmart? walmart or target, can't remember, but whichever of those stores has them is also supposed to have the strawberry shortcake ragdoll! with all this 80s nostalgia, i'm waiting for a resurgence of any of my favorite 90s/00s dolls - seedlings (also scented), betty spaghetti, or groovy girls 😂
Jen have you seen a new (at least in my country) range of plushies called Bum Bumz? They're super soft and help me with my sensory disorder. They come in all different themes (i have one from the breakfast set, she's a stack of pancakes). They're adorable and quite reasonably priced (again, in my country, where good plushies are usually super expensive)
I loved strawberry shortcake cuz of the scented hair. I don't remember all the characters though. My dog is named shortcake though after her. I love these figures and the Chase kinda look like the new rainbow high crystal pets
wtf... how are the chase ones unscented.. that's such a ripoff. one nice thing i will say about the chase though is that that style of translucent glittery plastic in other brands/series of special/chase/rare figures will not have any paint whatsoever and just look like a lump of glittery plastic... i appreciate them painting the face of these. side note i wanna point out orange blossom has an orange blossom on her head, not a daisy haha. and i wish lemon merengue actually had white flowers too instead of that bright pink contrast, i would've preferred the more limited color palette i think it looks really lovely and charming
Oh my God for the life of me it did not even occur to be whatsoever that I kept saying daisy and not orange blossom. For some reason in my head and even while I was checking through editing I just kept saying orange blossom maybe I kept screwing it up because I was thinking I was saying it since I was saying her name. Total fail. Thanks for correcting me! 🤣
Five Below is a store that markets itself to teenagers from Gen Alpha, and these toys are designed to look like a cartoon from the 1980s that none of them would know.
My old strawberry shortcake vhs tapes still have that delicious strawberry smell embedded in them. I occasionally sniff them 😂
Omg I don't own any of the VHS tapes but I didn't know they smelled too!!!
All I had was one of the Strawberry Shortcake movies taped off the TV 😅.
So I never knew the vhs tapes had a scent. That's amazing.
I don’t have any vhs tapes but I have an old dvd ,the case is pink and smells like strawberries still!

You are most welcome. It will make your life much easier as far as keeping the little buggers in their place.🌈💫😻@@NexJen

These are cute. I would love to see the villains in these tiny figures as well!
You could always use the "chase" figures to customize them.
That's true 😄
They're cute, I was really into the 2000s series as a kid. Huckleberry Pie being my fav (I didn't know he was originally ginger lol) . Yeah, the chases are definitely not worth it.

3:28 ❤ You said it correctly. They are actually called bloomers.
It would have been really neat if they did different poses or make them flocked for the chases or something. It would be a lot nicer and it would look much better.
Yes buy Rainbow Brite!!! We need more nostalgia! Lol
I used to watch strawberry shortcake when I was a kid.

The new Strawberry Shortcake figures by Boss Fight Studios are amazing
They really are so cool! I got the first four released, and can’t wait to add the others out this month!
Strawberry Shortcake was my jam.

Want these but in a 2003 version

There are 10 figures total, but they're hard to get as a complete set. Although I've seen a few complete sets on Mercari.
I have been nostalgia dreaming about Strawberry Shortcake! Although I can't find them in the states. I used to have all of the original ones and miss them so much.
They’re $5 at Five Below in the US and there are also Rainbow Brite figures.

That's pretty ironic! Also yes blueberry muffin would have been great I hope we can get others.
I’m super excited for the articulated dolls especially the rainbow brite ones. I hope you review those soon
Jen!!! This is my first video of yours in a while, I'm so happy I caught this one💕
Me too hi ☺️
I've been watching you since I was maybe 17 or 18 and I'm turning 23 this year! Your channel helped me embrace my kid-ult self💗
@@apeanut6392omg saaame! Except I started watching when I was 19! I just turned 23
Last month! Can’t believe it’s been 4 years
Aren't Chase items supposed to be better than the common ones. The common ones are way cuter.
I just want to say, I love your videos. They are a perfect happy place for me and I loved, love and will love them forever ❤
I worked out from your accent that you're Canadian! I used to have the lemon meringue doll but don't know where she went!
I love these cute figures, I too am not interested in collecting the chase figures.
Great review, very fun!!!

In the states (or at least my state of California) you can get them at Five Below. I have three so far. Trying to collect more!
Strawberry Shortcake, Huckleberry Pie
cute little dolls just 3 inches high
(bet I got the height wrong, it's been awhile).
I'm trying to find the rainbow brite figures
And the strawberry short cake figures at my local five below I'll probably for my birthday in August I love the 80s retro strawberry shortcake and retro rainbow brite 👍

Oh I still have the 03 theme stuck in my head sometimes!
I love Strawberry Shortcake! And your videos, new subscriber! :)
Aww hello and thank you
I DIDN'T KNOW THESE EXIST!
Is a chase figure a hidden one? Or are they rare? Im from the 80s and these are lovely. They really nailed the look!
i love them i have my original minis now if they could give us plum puddin back as a boy that would be awesome
Please get the rainbow brite ones!!! I’m on the fence about them and I need your review!!!
My mom always loves strawberry shortcake
raspberry tart is litterly me 😭😭😭😭😭😭 LOL
I am disappointed they didn’t make my favorite, Lime Chiffon.
Wow!!,im starting to see your videos again (been hear since the gbtb 2015 era) and you posted!!,im so happy about that ❤
Hope you enjoyed it! 😁
They in Five Below in the states.

I just don't really understand why they are $5 in the USA, and they seem to be exclusive to Five Below.
Five Below is a store that markets itself to teenagers from Gen Alpha, and these toys are designed to look like a cartoon from the 1980s that none of them would know.
@@paultiddyou know not just kids like five below right?
So cute. I wish they would ship to the US
I'm pretty sure I saw them online in the u.s for 3.99 so they should be available
@@NexJen nice. I'll do a bit more digging.
I found these online at five below but only the chase figures are in stock ( probably because no one wants them )
@@MissTraceyAnn thanks. I'll check the stores near me in person.
For $5? Oh yeah I gotta get me a couple
That's cute but instead of the unpainted ones having more different ones would have been nicer.
Hey! Could you review the new rainbow high dolls (with slime 😢) would love to know your thoughts
I will be soon!!
The same with mine orange and raspberry are imposible to stand.
I think they’re just the old-school recolored
I'm a bit confused how there can be chase figures when they're not blind boxes.
I'm sure I got smell-o-vision from this video. Call it the power of suggestion, but I was definitely smelling fruits.
I have one it's strawberry shortcake toy it the same
They renamed Raspberry Torte? I’m confused
definitely missing and reminiscing about the *subtle* sweet, fruity fragrances 😂 … I think my mother still has nightmares to this day
