You guys sure stayed with the right era projects. Cars after about 1950 tend to be restorations with running gear updates. Prewar any way that makes you happy and so dang simple. Gotta admit my 31 and 32 orphan brands don't have wood but never had so much fun building cars.

It is nice that you can now remove the dash and not have the whole car fall apart! A lot of work has gone into reassembling and stiffening that old body!
I was glad to see you showed the finished floor hole covering in the last shot! Nothing like highlighting the efforts of apprentice Evan to encourage his further learning!

I like how you and mike talk about adding crappy things to his car. I have a friend Joe and one of my other friends tell him when we are working on its ok its just Joes truck. It's been a long time since I worked on the truck with them. I do miss having them around they live in Wisconsin and I live in Florida.

Mike is that tact mechanical of so and you run a gen then look for a gen from a ford tractor and put the front mount of you ford on it and the cable output is on the tail end of the tractor gen (look at 8n or older)

Hey Matt, why not let your nephew help you. Let him learn how to grind some welds down and blend them in. I know that he would jump up and down! My grand son wants to help me all the time. Trust me, he is just biting at the bit to help you.

  • @willardway3037

Mike if it was me setting the gauges. I would have cut the whole panel out and started fresh. It would be stronger and hold the gauges tighter less chance of rattles. AND A LOT EASIER

  • @reneprovencher8395

  • @BrianSmart1959

I like the SW gauge cluster, but it would just bug the sht of me that the glove box door doesn't match the same shape.

  • @mrnobody6573

Matt mounted his dash panel upside down so the side angles of the panel matched the angles of the glove box door.

One comment concerning orientation of the new instrument panel, if you look at the glovebox, it's wider at the bottom and narrows going up. I think you should try inverting your instrument panel to match, stand back and see how it looks. Symmetry and all that.
