    This is a wonderful, informative video that really shows how complicated the life of a Deku Scrub really is. I still feel sad for the Deku Butler, especially so now, with the additional details about his poor son.

    These are the freaking cutest things. My fav character from Majora's Mask is actually Deku Butler, I felt really sympathetic towards him. I also like Link's Deku form the best.

    This comment might seem random but the deku scrubs in the forest stage states that when you wear the skull mask , that you look like thier sacred totem. Does anyone think there could be some kind of connection to the nearby forest temple and the stalefoes within? Or perhaps phantom ganon with his skull like face?

    I would have loved to see the dekus or a deku tribe return to the land of hyrule in botw 2. They could have spun it as the tribes returning to the homeland once destroyed. It saddens me to see them fade even further into the middle distance. 😓

      Yet once again they were reduced to damn Octoroks in TotK. =\
      By this point the Ritos are the new Dekus, nothing else can be done.

    Theory.
    All the deku are dead in botw. They are the trees with faces. Kokiri were human like because of all beings, kids, teens and adults who are lost, babies are sparred, thus link. With link gone after becoming a stalfos by returning to the woods at the end, the rest took their original forms, Koroks. Or Minish became Kokiri.
    Skull kids have the same nose as ruto in ww also. Could mean nothing.

  • @RespawnGod
    @RespawnGod 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    my theory is that barring the deku that were created in foursword, the deku are one of the few races who can navigate the lost woods and came from termina as its rare to see them outside of there in the rest of hyrule during OoT & then like you say they kind of just disappear either that or the less fun idea that they're just an evolution of Octorocks which i would hate as an answer

    Really great video! I would say that the one thing that could possibly hold you back is your English pronunciation: I can understand every word clearly, it just takes more of an effort on the part of me, the listener, to do so, than it would if I were listening to a native-speaker. I wonder if it would be possible for you to spend some time in an Enlish-speaking country, or else to put some time aside to really laser-focus on pronunciation of vowels, syllables and words-I’d say word-accent (in the grammatical sense of that term) and emphasis are most important above all, together with vowel pronunciation-; maybe even listening more to audio-books would help. But otherwise I really love your content and I think if you improved your pronunciation you could be one of the best Z-tubers. Hey, maybe even give the script to a native to record! If you supplied me with a suitable microphone even I myself would be willing to try! for free! Having said that, you do have an inimitable style of delivery which is really special.

    • @ZeldaLore
      @ZeldaLore  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks! I know I have a thick accent, but I like it the way it is. I'm half Australian, so no problem there, and I do virtually everything in English. Its just how I talk. Thanks for the offer but I like to do the recording myself.

    Petition to have deku scrubs in BOTW 3

    • @AbaddonEXE
      @AbaddonEXE ปีที่แล้ว

      We’re missing three temples and three sages (if we look at BotW and TotK as the unification of all three timelines) we still haven’t heard about the following sages:
      - Sage of Forest: last known sage was Saria, a Kokiri who race was planned for BotW.
      - Sage of Earth: Medli, the Rito, was the last known Earth Sage, sadly we already have the Ritos and the new Sage of Wind.
      Sage of Shadow: Impa was the last known Shadow Sage, we don’t have any Sheikah to play this role but we do have prominent Sheikah roles (Paya, Purah) and the Yiga clan too (Kohga and Sooga).
      If the people behind TotK really wants to add more temples with sages they can look back at these ones, you can pull the Deku excuse from Four Swords adventure to explain why they’re not around Hyrule and BOOM new race, temple, sage, power and story.
      I do feel explaining the Kokiri will be a lil bit more difficult. If they don’t care for new characters then I guess Hestu could pull a forest sage.
