I'm a grandma wondering how to use the carrier in 2024. well I didn't know there were different ones. I agree that this is the best video I've watched and I've watched a few. So a big thank you!!
Thanks for this video. Very good explanation of each Ergobaby models (weight, Position etc.). The same things/explanation you won't find in the shop. Excellent !! Thanks.
New first time dad here. Thank you for the information and content!!!!! You should record audio books. Pleasant to listen too. Sounds like I need both the Adapt and Omni to cover all basis and flexibility.
To everyone in comments: the adapt air mesh feels kinda rough, which isn’t something I wanted rubbing up against my newborn! Returned the item for the 360 Omni instead and much happier. Material is softer and has the front facing option.
Do you have an updated video for 2019? We have the omni 360 but couldn't use it without an insert for our 7lb infant. Would be nice to include an overview of the insert itself. It also seems like they've gone back to buckle from the velcro. Wondering if there might be other changes as well.
Great question! Ergo baby has a whole lists of suggests on how to breastfeed while baby wearing! ergobaby.com/blog/2014/08/tips-for-breastfeeding-in-the-baby-carrier/
Briege Fitzpatrick yes! Here is a link to the page where we have a set of 9 different videos on how to put on the Omni 360 and how to put baby in and the different ways to carry! th-cam.com/users/results?search_query=Part+2+Ergobaby+Omni+360+how+to It is very adjustable, but you would probably need to try it out.
We are so sorry about that! Check out these nine videos on the Omni that will go more in depth :) Here is part 1 th-cam.com/video/EfWoSux0zxs/w-d-xo.html you can then click to watch parts 2-9 at the end of the videos.
I live in China and we will be going to Bali and Thailand in July, my daughter will be 26 months old by the time we leave. She weighs 11kg at the moment at 21 months. We will probably be exploring and go around and possibly renting a scooter, will the Omni 360 be the best option for us?
The Omni 360 is great for travel! The Omni 360 has a weight capacity of about 20 kg! It is also great because you are going to be able to use it after your trip as well! It seems like a great option for you! ❤️
Thanks for the detailed comparison. I’m wondering if you have reviews/comparisons for other meshed models like omni breeze? Is it worth to get the meshed models? Thanks!
We do not have any reviews on the Omni Breeze because we do not carry that model. That being said whether it is worth it depends on the person. If you are planning on using your carrier outside in the heat often, you may want to have more airflow which is what the mesh provides. ❤️
I really love your explanation which is way better than the Ergobaby website but I’m very confused now. I ordered the Adapt online since I found it on sale for $90 but now that I saw your video I’m thinking that I should have bought the omni 360. How long can I keep my baby facing in? My son is a month old now so he can face in but by summer time he’ll be old enough to be facing out and explore things. Another thing is the weather. I live in Canada and summers get pretty hot but also the humidity level is very high. Can you please help me because I don’t want to get the adapt and then have to pay even more money to get another one.
Fatimah Khan hey! Great questions! You can keep baby in the carrier as long as they are happy. You can decide when you want him to face out. One of our cubby moms let us know that she used the adapt over the summer for all 3 of her babies and she wasn't too hot and uncomfortable, and neither was baby! The Omni 360 mesh is super great but you don't have to switch unless the adapt gets way uncomfortable.
Hi I tried the ergo baby omni for my 6 month old baby who is 7.8kg. She has chubby thighs and her neck is slightly short. So I found that the leg space around the thigh while facing her outside was less and mainly while facing out the upper padding was near her mouth due to short neck. Is there any other adjustments I can do? Thanks.
Do you live in a hot climate that is humid? Or just hot? We would recommend the happy baby carrier which is linen if its humid. Watch our review here. th-cam.com/video/mPJavu8yzuk/w-d-xo.html If not we would reccommend getting the cool mesh 360. You can shop that here: www.babycubby.com/ergobaby-360-4-position-cool-carrier-carbon-grey.html
Hallo there, do you recommend using an infant insert in sommer hot months or I should better buy a model 3.2 kg-20kg which do not need a infant insert ?
Yes! You can wear them with a criss cross strap when baby is on the front. here is the video from erogbaby about how; th-cam.com/video/d8lC1XAsy0w/w-d-xo.html
Great question! We would recommend getting the Ergo 360 because it has a Velcro strap in place of a normal adjustable strap. The Velcro makes it easier to adjust accordingly when put on that as not to put added strain on the parent. We hope this helped!

Please help me choose - 360 Air Mesh or Omni 360 Air Mesh. Also, is the fabric used in those two different at all? My baby is going to be one year old in January 2019 and currently weighs around 10kg. Much thanks!

Does the 360 come with a clip back (like the original) or does 360 only come with Velcro? I really don’t like the Velcro against my clothes and it’s a LOT of fabric wrapping around you.
Great video, very clear and detailed! HOWEVER, one important feature you missed deals with this velcro issue! It was also a huge concern of mine, and the Omni does NOT have velcro to attach the lumbar belt... which makes it even more AWESOME :)
For the 360, does it have a triangular shape chair for the baby that won't cause hip displacement? Also I live in a tropical country so its really hot. Would you still recommend the 360?
yes, the Ergobaby 360 is perfect for preventing hip dysplasia. I would strongly recommend the 360 Cool Carrier, it has mesh panels to keep you and your child cooler. www.babycubby.com/ergobaby-360-4-position-cool-carrier-carbon-grey.html
I live in a hot climate but I am stuck between purchasing the 360 cool air and the Omni 360. I want to use the carrier from birth but I've read the infant inserts even the mesh ones are hot. Any thoughts?
We would actually recommend the new Adapt Cool Air Mesh Carrier. That one is going to be the best we feel for hot climate. Keep in mind though, you will lose one of the positions (The front forward facing).
We don't currently carry this particular one in our store, but you can purchase it on Ergobaby's website :) store.ergobaby.com/baby-carrier/adapt/adapt-mesh-pearl-grey
Hi Hamza! I'm sorry for the confusion but from what it looks like they redesigned the Omni 360 so that the adjuster from forward-facing to rear-facing so that it is easier to adjust. The old design with the buttons has a 33 lb weight capacity but the new design has a 45 lb weight capacity. It does look like their website says the old one has a 45 lb weight capacity but I think that may be a misprint since the box of the product says 33 lbs. We did reach out to the company for clarification and if we get more information on this we will certainly clarify. Thank you
What Ergobaby should I get? (1) We live in Portland Oregon where it's hot in summer and rainy and cold in winter, and (2) we want the carrier to be fit for infant without infant insert. Please help! Thanks!!
We would recommend one of two options. Adapt (cannot have your child face out), www.babycubby.com/ergobaby-adapt-3-position-child-carrier.html Omni 360 Cool Carry (you can face out and it has mesh panels for increased air flow), www.babycubby.com/ergobaby-omni-360-cool-air-mesh-carrier-khaki-green.html
You would just need to get one or the other. If you like the option of your baby being able to face outward we would recommend the Omni 360 Cool Carry, if you are using it during the winter you can just layer your baby's clothing and even wrap the outside of the carrier if needed.
We are so sorry for not addressing that throughout the video. You can get a Cool Air Mesh version of the Classic, Adapt, 360 and Omni 360. We have linked a couple of these options below. The Omni 360 cool air mesh is particularly nice since it has a slide adjustment to turn forward facing instead of buttons, it looks nicer and its easier to execute. www.babycubby.com/ergobaby-omni-360-cool-air-mesh-carrier-midnight-blue.html www.babycubby.com/ergobaby-360-4-position-cool-carrier-carbon-grey.html
We live in Washington. It gets hot during the summer and we like to be outside. But it also is cold and rainy too a lot of the year. I get hot easily though and was thinking the cool air mesh would be best. What do you think? Is it best only for people using the carrier in places that stay warm year round?
The original has a 12-45 lbs weight limit, with the adapt you can have 7-45 lbs. So if you want to carry an infant and don't want to worry about purchasing an additional insert we would recommend the adapt.
They are pretty similar, the center portion of the omni is going to be a little more bulky. You can learn more on our website www.babycubby.com/brands/ergo-baby.html
Very helpful video! But I'm still undecided between original or 360. The price is a factor that I can say original will be ok but in 360 I can carry the baby facing forward. And is it not hot to wear? We are in a tropical country.
Which is the best one for traveling with an 8 month old baby that is about 20 pounds ? My moby wrap is too light for all the walking I’m gonna be doing!
Great question! All of the versions would work for weight with room for growth! It depends on how you want to carry your little one, whether they're front facing or rear facing. If you'd like, you can chat with one of our Cubby Moms over the phone and they can help you figure out the best product for you! Let me know if you have any questions!
Hey Angela, so the best option for hot weather is a linen material, so the two best options would be a linen ring sling, like the Sakura Bloom Ring Sling- www.babycubby.com/sakura-bloom-classic-sling.html The second option is a Happy Baby Carrier www.babycubby.com/happy-baby-carrier.html/ A sling is better for a small baby, but it also gets worn out quicker and isn't very good for a toddler. The Happy Baby Carrier will last quite a long time, and it can be used from birth so that might be the best investment.
Watch our how to videos on both those products below: Happy Baby Carrier: th-cam.com/video/mPJavu8yzuk/w-d-xo.html Sakura Bloong Ring Sling: th-cam.com/video/-nrkZRPaVg4/w-d-xo.html
Very nice explanation :) I had the original the last time and it was ok. Too big and heavy for us thus we seldom use it. Having a new baby again so probably will buy the omni
Haha, the video was good, informative, but I think I just needed a side by side comparison graphic of features. We ended up buying a second hand portabebè version of the same brand. But we were advised by a friend to buy the ergo performance. Neither of these models seem to exist anymore. This just added to my confusion. Went for a ride with our 4 week old. I’m impressed with the (old) portabebe. I’m in Australia and it might be worth considering for others it gets hot quickly in there if your not moving around with plenty of airflow.
Such a great carrier. Sadly some babies aren't too excited about them as us mommas. When he gets a bit older, we would recommend trying to face him outwards to look around a bit more. Some babes are way too curious for their own good haha!

Could you tell me if the original (last version) has a better back support than previous versions (I have one of 2009 and need a new one )... with the subtitles on the video... I couldn't see really how it is made behind...
The back support is the same. Also if you hit CC you can turn the subtitles off :)
So between Adapt and 360 which one would you advise for mom with back pain? :)
In terms of back pain prevention they are both structured the same, so you should be ok either way! It just depends on if you want an infant insert or not.

Does the 360 come with a clip back (like the original) or does 360 only come with Velcro? I really don’t like the Velcro against my clothes and it’s a LOT of fabric wrapping around you.

Omni 360 Cool Carry (you can face out and it has mesh panels for increased air flow), www.babycubby.com/ergobaby-omni-360-cool-air-mesh-carrier-khaki-green.html

Hi Kat! Thanks for the feedback!

Hey Angela, so the best option for hot weather is a linen material, so the two best options would be a linen ring sling, like the Sakura Bloom Ring Sling- www.babycubby.com/sakura-bloom-classic-sling.html
The second option is a Happy Baby Carrier www.babycubby.com/happy-baby-carrier.html/
A sling is better for a small baby, but it also gets worn out quicker and isn't very good for a toddler. The Happy Baby Carrier will last quite a long time, and it can be used from birth so that might be the best investment.
Watch our how to videos on both those products below:

Very nice explanation :)
I had the original the last time and it was ok. Too big and heavy for us thus we seldom use it.
Having a new baby again so probably will buy the omni
👍
I’m so lost haha
isbn oh no! What are you lost about?
Haha, the video was good, informative, but I think I just needed a side by side comparison graphic of features.
We ended up buying a second hand portabebè version of the same brand. But we were advised by a friend to buy the ergo performance.
Neither of these models seem to exist anymore. This just added to my confusion.
Went for a ride with our 4 week old. I’m impressed with the (old) portabebe. I’m in Australia and it might be worth considering for others it gets hot quickly in there if your not moving around with plenty of airflow.
i bought the ADAPT. My baby fuzzes and cries too much in it. He’s almost 12 pounds and i have no idea why. 😑
Such a great carrier. Sadly some babies aren't too excited about them as us mommas. When he gets a bit older, we would recommend trying to face him outwards to look around a bit more. Some babes are way too curious for their own good haha!
The Baby Cubby Can we put him face out in this carrier?
Oh sorry! No, only for the 360 and Omni 360.
