  • In this video I go over the simple fast process to achieve a rusty/weathered look for your model car. Now this is not the only way and other techniques can be added to this . Just short process for someone looking to get their feet wet in the weathering world .

    Normally this works great on an acrylic top coat. Never seen it done over enamel. Nice job!

      I have done both, of course acrylic is more forgiving but enamel I have learned to speed up the process a bit before paint has time to fully gas .

      Thank you. I’ll try online. We used to have some Army Surplus stores in Pa. but I haven’t seen one in years. I would have never tried weathering but your video changed my mind. 👍🏻

    Actually the hairspray is water soluable so you can rub off the acrylic and expose the underlying color..................
