  • The mushroom season is well and truly underway. Strangely the Wood Blewits (Lepista nuda) have appeared earlier than usual this year. Hopefully this doesn't mean it's going be a short season.

    Kangaroos are cute :) Mushrooms are great! cool catch! it's cold in Russia now, but the new mushroom season is coming soon, but for now enjoy the mushroom videos

      I agree. But the lack of rain at the beginning of the season has resulted in less.

      They cost $100aud per kilo at the moment

      Sorry to hear that I've heard that people have found some by going for long walks along the streets of Stirling, Crafers, etc.

      Lucky for me a friend went last week at Stirling and got 5 kilograms of Puccini and gave me some and I had them with Risotto.🍷🍷

      Yes, it has been very dry here. We starting to get some good rain no. I hope you start to see mushrooms in Sicily soon.

    Do you think they can be found in southeast asian tropical rainforests? I'm from Indonesia and never found them

    Great Video! I want to see if I can find these in the Victorian high country where I am located. I was wondering what host trees I should look for, such as big old oaks or if I should look in the same plantations where I find saffron milk caps? Thanks!

      Thanks for watching our video. I have read that the porcini are usually found under pine, oak, birch, beech, chestnut and spruce. We have only ever found them under oak and pine. Apparently people have found them in Victoria.

      I've never seen these in the pine forest I get milk caps. His first porcini were under oak leaves.
