That is so awesome!! I am one of your new subscribers and I love the cup idea. I will have to check your links to see where you get them.....Really awesome!!!
I really like how you've set up your clean space and the 2 oz condiment cups, the 1% contam rate doesn't lie. I was really into this stuff a few years back. I still have a bedroom that functioned as a clean room all set up, luckily as it turns out a laminar flow hood is also good for plant tissue culture, and working on sensitive electronics. Want to start again soon. Gonna see if I can get down to 1% Contam. Ps that was mold on the plate not bacteria. Bacteria just looks like slime blobs. And I always transfer the ropeiest most rhyzomorphic growth. I love that.
I have 99 percent successful transfers. Almost never get contamination with it and always work in front of it. Sometimes I keep grain bags or cups inside while I'm working but mostly just in front
You can get those ketchup cups at Walmart for $3.28 for 50. They do work. You should never make green agar. Spray down your cups with hydrogen peroxide before pouring. Peroxide kills mold.

You seem new to this. Great job. If it works it's useful and not wrong. Look forward to seeing your channel and methods improve. Mush love friend.
I too believe that what works for some may not work for others. Class does that to people.

thanks for the tip on the bacteria vs. mold, I did not know that. Cheers
Where do you get the cups you are using? Are they autoclacable? How do you sterilize them? Thank you!
I believe those are 2 ounce condiment cups or jelly shot cups with leakproof lids from Amazon.
Yes they are just the 2 oz cups but I but I also buy them from the dollar store.
@@HowToShroom Awesome!!! Do you sterilize them with anything?
@@Biokemist-o3k They are sterile when made because they’re for food products. Molten plastic to cup to stacked in a sleeve in minutes.
what's the idea behind having a laminar flow hood and working outside of the laminar flow?
