I just received mine today, unfortunately it’s the defective one but thanks to you I now kniw to press the button for 3 seconds to see all the lights, it cost £200, $260 roughly. I love it. Thanks for the great videos.
Defective is a strong word i would say variance. If u trippin about a piece not being painted black on bottom then u got ocd, lol. Also,i dont think u showed the differences in lighting? Thanks for video, appreciate the time.
Bro, so what is the lighting effect differences between the two types? In your review you sounded as if there were lighting issues as well as the cosmetic differences. You use the word "Defective", but your using it to describe subtle paint differences rather than component related issues.
@@tigerclaw4537 no, the lights are defective. I compared how the defective lights up to how the original lights up. It’s the sound sequence that is screwed up. You’ll see the difference between to two
@@preludeboy99What time segment in the video shows defective lighting? All your video shows is the older model and only a verbal mention of the other not lighting in the same sequences. It does not visually show this unless I'm missing it. 🤔
@@tigerclaw4537 here: th-cam.com/video/JhNFL5zPGL8/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Cif5KltJzLwg8lz9 This is the video that I made before this, it showcases the model and the lighting/sound sequence. I’m sure this will clear things up.
@@preludeboy99 yeppers… that is what I was seeking. Hey, thanks for responding and being helpful. This is a beautiful model. Wish I would have collected one when they 1st released.
BTW… There is a version of this selling on Amazon for $118, but it has no active lighting. It’s just a cheaper version without the electronics. Do you think that is a reasonable selling price without the lighting and sound effects? I need to be honest with my wallet, and the asking price for the original is quite painful 😣.
Great video. I’m interested in purchasing this ultimate version on eBay but I can’t tell if they’re defective even after looking for those subtle differences. Where did you end up purchasing your original model? Was it from China? Thanks.
My mother got me the original model. But there is a catch. The good model I have did not come with accessories, it was just the mark ii delorean with Mr. Fusion and hover conversion. Which was perfectly fine by me, it still lit up and did all the cool stuff. Years later I sold it to a community member and tried to buy a brand new super elite but the one I bought was defective. So it’s almost impossible to find a good working one because almost all of the deloreans are defective. I believe an IC defective causes the car to have improper lights and sounds. I would say ask questions and keep your eyes open. Even if you got a defective one, these are still nice display pieces.
@@hugoagogo4324 so it depends on what you want. I don't know what youre looking at so I can't tell you but the one in this video usually goes for $300-$500. I would ask questions to the seller.
It's a great job, Mattel did. Unfortunately, the hoverboard is not as nice as with the normal Elite DeLo. My DeLo: th-cam.com/video/slazl_vekl0/w-d-xo.html and my K.I.T.T.: th-cam.com/video/xDZXBqLGI0k/w-d-xo.html Didn't know there are also defective one on the market. So no one can fix it? Did you notice the two holes between the vents? I wonder what they are there for.
I tried to fix one but for some reason they designed it so that you’d have to literally break it apart to get inside. THE problem lies with the IC chip that controls the lights and sounds. I don’t know what IC chip they used, or if that chip is a widely used chip but it’s a lot of hassle to disassemble. Maybe one day I’ll get another to tear apart and analyze. Thanks for watching!
@@preludeboy99 oh okay. I see. So, I hope for you, that you can fix it one day. I wish it would stay on as long as I want it to and not just go out. Just like with K.I.T.T. The one from Joyride has two switches: one that only leaves the scanner function on for one or two minutes, the other switch has to be pressed a second time for the scanner to go off.
I actually watch your content. I saw your video on Ferris bueller day off Ferrari. It’s a great video. But this particular car is not. Not a good properly working model which I currently own. I tried looking for them for years, same QC issues with the lights and sounds. Word on the street is they canceled this release and let the factory workers in China keep them. The factory workers sold the supply on eBay and only a few of them are fully functional.

No, this is a special one that lights up properly. If you watched the video you’d understand that the one I currently have is a good working model, the others floating on eBay are probably defective models that have a bad IC chip that screws up the light sequence and sounds. If you did find a good one that is legit, grab it before someone else does

Nope, the ultimate elites with the working sound chips are rare.
