I used the 184 quite a few times when it started from Manchester Piccadilly Gardens at about 10.15am (I had a bus pass so it was free). It was amazing going through the Pennines for the first time. Never knew the scenery existed.

Peak District is further south. That's that southern end of the pennines between West Yorkshire and Greater Manchester
