Awesome band, and Marc definitely one the best guitarist ever and Terry's Vocals and Pat's bass playing all just rocked and I never felt like yall went as far as you could have! GOD BLESS YOU all drumming awesome to XYZ rocks
Terry ILLous was a Top 10 singer of the 80s with ease . XYZ's first 2 records were blistering , and highly underrated Power Pop Metal . Mike Diglio was up there with Reb Beach and Vito Bratta talent . XYZ made Poison and Warrant records sound , and look like a bar band made them 😂
Amazing ... I just wish there were more LIVE Performances of these guys during this Era, especially face down at the gutter... these 4 band members were amazing together and made XYZ so great, there isn't enough videos of them.
MARC DIGLIOOOOOOOOOO!! This is the only live video of him I can find. XYZ if you have any old footage 1991 and prior, we would love to see it! No disrespect to Mr Marcus of course, he’s well worthy of the lead guitar spot, we just miss our Marc :(
Yep, still looking in 2023! I began to search again after my friends asked who was our favorite guitar player that no one knows about. I listed Marc first, then Jani Stefanovic, Tommy Castro, and Jimmy Lyons.
Marc Diglio was an incredible player. Wish I knew why he left and more about his journey out of rock music...there's like no info out there. And there's almost no live footage of him that I can find with XYZ...anyone know of any besides Off To The Sun?
Precisely... I'm so mad there wasn't enough LIVE footage of these guys during this Era, especially more performances from Marc Digilo ... His one of the best guitarist I've ever heard.!
@@TigressRare According to Terry Ilous, that whole show was released on VHS tape. However he doesn't seem to know or care where copies might exist. If you find any let me know. I haven't looked in awhile but could try again.
@@mr.d.572 I get the impression that Ilous is not fond of Diglio for leaving the band. I saw a comment somewhere of his stating that Marc “left us high and dry”. So that would be consistent with why he wouldnt care to show us more of Marc’s live playing. Thats too bad, XYZ were nothing before they had Marc. And are nothing without him. It was only during the few years they had him that they could write some good songs.
@@AudaciousAce1989 I have only heard recently that Marc left the industry primarily to be with his family and because the excesses of the rockstar life were killing him. It is possible that maybe his timing was bad and he didn't give enough notice. But then again in this industry it's probably never a good time to walk away, you have to just do it. It's too bad we can't find more live footage of him though.
4,3,1? I remember hearing this as a kid on foundations forum 91 and thinking who taught that dude to count? Lol. He’s probably squeezing a two in there but it’s hard to hear if so. One of my favorite songs from that forum vhs tape.
The marketing department and management of this band were a failure. They should have been huge. What were XYZ influences? Who inspired these guys to play?
Dokken was a big influence. Basically they were big on the Sunset Strip circuit, so bands like Ratt, Quiet Riot, Stryper, etc. Terry though is older and has deeper influences from Flamenco to Dio, Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, etc.
@@mr.d.572 We were inspired by the music we listened to in the late 70's. Everything from Deep Purple, Rolling Stones, Zepplin, Rainbow, the Who and more. Pat is older with some punk influences, but you got most of Terry's spot on !

Im pissed that the camera couldnt even get a decent shot at Marc during the solo. Terry is a great singer but id rather see Marc actually shredding than Terry miming air guitar

Those first two albums were phenomenal and Marc Diglio was undoubtedly the last unsung guitar hero of the era
Diglio is the man ! One of the best guitarists of that era..
Amen to that
Yep. Very underrated.
Yes
So many great bands , back in the day....xyz had no gimmics, just excellent songs, and tight musicianship..what more can you ask?🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Diglio the king!
Whatever happened to Diglio? Is he still playing? Who with? He was such an underrated player.

Criminally underrated "hair band". Love Terry's voice and Diglio is a f*ckin stud player

Wow. I’m blown away with Terry’s vocals in the live setting. Almost perfect.

According to Drummer Paul Monroe, in an interview I read, Marc left in the middle of a tour in 91 or 92 to see the birth of his child

Diglio is a great guitarrist.
Hey terry ilous nice mullet you got goin on there!
Mullets were big in the 80s mullets demand respect
That is a mohawk, not a mullet ;) But at one time we had one of those too, around '84 !
Mullets were badass n the 80s business up front party in the back!
Great shit!
Anyone have this full live concert, pliz upload it. God bless u.
Vocalist almost sounds like Ronnie James Dio at times!
Nice
0:04 Ronnie James Dio walks by with a blonde in front of him....
👍
is there a mix of footage from 2 shows here? the guitars keeps swapping guitars hahaha i love this though love xyz and love the solo!
What guitar Marc using?
Give it 4 years and you're going to see guys with this hairstyle. If I'm lying, i'm flying and my feet ain't left the ground. See you in 4 years.
