Just did my first two matches and a half, I love it. I come from mainly Enlisted and HLL, I think Isonzo is the best balance between hardcore realism and fun gameplay, wow. Plus I died 42 times at Caporetto, as an Italian I FELT that 🤣
7:47 creeping barrage shouldn’t be used like that, you want it going from your team to the enemy team since the whole point of a creeping barrage is that it allows your team to advance directly behind the creep of artillery blasts into enemy positions cleared by the blasts. Its actually really effective when used well and can make some attacking maps trivial when used correctly
I knew I should slow down. After watching the video I started to get alot more stationary until my team starts advancing. It really did change the game for me. Still die a ton but thats the game. Atleast im getting kills now too.
Thanks for the tips, didn't know about the ability to place fortifications on objectives beforehand so good to know ! I'm on the PS5 and actually had no idea this game even existed until it came out, so it was a pleasant surprise after the disappointment of BF2042 (I'm a big battlefield fan but didn't pick the latest one up) and hopefully the player base sticks around for a while. One thing I have to say on console at least is that the aiming seems quite clunky, I'm not the best at shooters anyway, but I'm really finding it difficult to get my shots on target, and this is from someone who also plays Hell Let Loose on console (your series of videos on that game were great to watch when I was starting out). Any more videos you can make on Isonzo would be very much appreciated !
I also play a lot of hell let loose on console and felt the same way with the default Isonzo settings. I run about a 5 on general sensitivity. (Sensitivity when you're not aiming basically) About a 3 on Aiming sensitivity 1.9 for the x axis And I think close to 1 maybe 1.2 for y axis. I'm still tweaking with it. But I hope these settings might help you too. These helped me a lot. The x and y sensitivity settings appear to be like deadzone settings.
I turned my aiming sensitivity way up and that helped me. But when im tryng to make real small adjustments i have issues with the controller. Im gonna have to mess with the dead zone for that i think.
It seems the developers always have struggled with console aiming. The same problem appears in Verdun. It’s kind of like Enlisted and 7days to die in that way
@@brendantrago5739 Thanks, I'll give those settings a try! Have to admit that at times I feel like some of my opponents are using aimbots, I don't know how people manage to get their shots on target so quickly 🙂
@@MarcBlanka I feel the same way about getting wrecked by the enemy haha. But some of the guys killing you are actually bots. And some of them are veterans who've played since Verdun. Try a group of settings that feel better and stick with them for a bit before you go and change them again. Eventually you'll find something that works for you. Just make small adjustments to one setting at a time once you start feeling it's getting there. I still don't think the aiming is nearly as crisp as Hell Let Loose console though. They need more adjustments on Isonzo for console or patch it.
Slowing down is a big one. Made the same mistake as others by charging forwards only to find 4 enemy guys who shoot at me when if I stayed where I was I would have gotten them.
Here is a big thing for console players, pay attention to your mini maps, corners and audio cues If you are defending and hans down the trench line gets domed and your sitting on your ass zoned in on a single dude you are not helping, one guy is not worth an entire breakthrough of a defensive line. React and kill the attackers before you worry about Mario up on a hill! When you are running around the map as attackers or defenders look around at your surroundings especially the bushes and the corners of a rock or trench, I can’t tell you how many times a teammate just ran past a enemy and let that guy kill half the defensive line because they couldn’t be bothered to look to the massive trench line to their left! Audio is important, most of the time footsteps won’t be heard either do to the environment/fighting or do to the game. You need to rely on the mini map and listen for the rifle or pistol fire! If you see a small skull pop up after hearing a man go ham with a pistol it’s safe to assume it’s not safe and to throw a grenade or get ready for a fight! Also, please stop running towards the machine gun that just gunned down 5+ guys, shoot the damn person.
I did the bit tips by accident before watching this. Now context, I had no Xbox live 2 days after it came out and just grinded for ages against bots, the weapon unlocks were done easily like you said. Also officer class can easily be maxed by just versing bots because a lot of them don’t register gas attacks and it racks up kills towards ranks.
Great tips I had a 4/36 kd ratio in the first hour of play, and I considered deleting. Game is crazy difficult to see anything. I'll take these into consideration and hopefully we can get a better play
Just got it it's beautiful I hope the devs keep updating it only issue I have is sometimes a lag in shooting an enemy like I shot em but nothing happens
You can get more grenade kills if you just use them more in trench situations and on bunker boxes you know that is going to have multiple people in it. It's worth it if you want that Grenade Launcher attachment for your rifleman class.
Tip #3 is actually half poor. ALWAYS play objective first, then worry about your kills. Defense is one thing, dig in. Offense is just that, an OFFENSIVE.
I'm not sure you grasped what his point one. He was saying that, IF you find yourself getting killed over-and over while trying to charge in like you're a speedballer, then stop. It's OK to adopt a support/sniper role to allow your team the covering fire to move up. This feels like the bit too many tactical squad shooters forget: actual military tactics rarely involve everyone charging in like a bunch of loons without covering fire or without units who's sole purpose is to hang back and soften up the lines for the assault squads. It's not about being selfish and trying to get your kills up, it's about actually being of use to your team by doing something other than trying to catch bullets with your face.
Do you have to set up the custom match in a certain way in order to compete assignments? Or has the game been updated to not allow assignments to be completed in custom matches? My assignments aren't progressing when I play in a custom match.
Dang, brother. I’m new to the game and have been shopping around for guides. Having seen quite a few at this point, I felt the need to leave some feedback after seeing yours. Most guides I see are made by “content creators”. They see a new game and “ope, gotta make a guide for that and get some views out of it”. They play for a handful of hours and spread some admittedly well-intentioned misinformation in their half-baked guides. You actually made this guide from the stance of actual experience playing the game, as well as reflecting on that experience to help us less experienced players get into the game faster. You shared stuff that you only get to know by putting boots on the ground, so to speak. A few highlights I found helpful, aside from the all-important SLOW DOWN!: as a newbie engineer, learning you can build on objectives before they’re objectives is HUGE! Also, how many defensive items you can build. How to use and resupply mortars, effective HMG usage (vs grabbing it and just getting shot immediately), benefits of revolvers vs. pistols, etc. You had a great take on tunnel vision challenges (“I think we would all rather have players that are not really focused on the game be playing on their own” most definitely). Couldn’t agree more. I also found your “call to action”, as TH-cam calls it (encouraging viewers to engage, “like, comment, subscribe” etc.), to be very classy. You segued from engineer tips to “I’m gonna make a guide for engineer building, subscribe if you want to notified when that happens”. Great approach, to the point, relevant, helpful, and classy. Later mentioning a like would help the channel, that one always gets me to like if I haven’t yet. In conclusion, you just made me write a 5 paragraph essay on your video. Super helpful guide! Absolute props, man!
What are your graphic settings? The edges on my game are all very, very jagged. I tried turning on anti-aliasing, but that just made the whole game look smeared, for lack of a better word.
not agree with officer's tips. better skils is "1st line officer", it has the best perks offeneisve. so for those who don't know, this skill allow officert to reappear on any squad leader and any squad leader to reappear on you. with this one you could always been on the frontline and have no need to spawn far behind.
Hey mono, are you still looking at the comments, if so in your next video can you drill it into people not to cut the friendly Baracade Barbed Wire as much as the spawn points in Hell Let Loose it a way to see where the other is pushing using the mini-map. As for Officer, the MOST needed is creeping smoke and you always putting it down always. As for pistols, give the Glisenti a go as it is my fave weapon in the game, upper chest shot means one kill and quick reload. Mess around with the Austrian pistols as good as revolvers are you need to in mind you may have to "Mag Dump" in a trench to take down several guys, then reload quickly and take more out but the "one chamber at a time" reload can be deadly. Also would love to hear ya views on the different rifles, straight bolt vs 6 rounds rifles...
I could see them on my screen. Video compression isn't very good when it comes to tiny details. Basically I could see the sky through a window and would see it get blocked slightly.
Well, how can you get frustrated by killing so much enemies so fast ? Playing PC with a mouse it is almost impossible to aim and shoot fast, which makes that 1. I miss a lot of moving shots 2. I die a lot
I mainly play the engineer but i find that you have way too many limitations in what you can build. For example you can build two types of sandbags that are IDENTICAL in size and they cannot even be "stacked" in order to make a wall that covers your whole body of blocks entrances. Also you cannot fortify machine gun positions with them and it makes the machine gun pretty unusable (since you get insta killed). I also hate the limitations on barbed wire... Why can't i place the same type of wire next to each other? I'd find it reasonable only if the lenght of the wire was very long.
The only thing i cant do in this game is play as an officer. Like i know what to do and what abilities to use and how to be most efficient ect. The problem is the map reading! Its like its upside down while on radio post and that just confuses the heck out of me. Maybe someone knows a tip how to make it normal ? or a mod or something
