      Thank you for your comment. I record voice over later and in some videos I was still figuring out the software. Check our one of my latest videos to see if volume is any better. Editing videos - not that easy 🙃

    Beautifully done!!! One question.... can this plate get wet? After the vintage gold is applied, can Mod Podge for dishwasher be applied?

      Thank you, Janet ❤️ It can get wet, but I would not put it in the dishwasher. I would wipe the outside with a damp cloth.
      I have not yet worked with dishwasher modpodge, but the way I see it, you would have to use it on the glass and seal the napkin with it. No other layers should be applied (like white chalk paint or metallic paints).

      Thank you! I do decoupage plates and I use the dishwasher Mod Podge. I never put them in the dishwasher, but wipe them with a damp cloth and this works. I was just wondering if the dishwasher Mod Podge could go over the pretty vintage gold to protect it. Maybe I'll just try it and see if it works! Thanks again.

    Looks beautiful! Why do you paint the bottom when it is not seen?

    • @mycozynest
      @mycozynest  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thank you ❤️ Two reasons:
      1. I know it is there and it makes me happy knowing the bottom of the plate looks amazing in its own way, even if noone sees it
      2. I love experimenting with texture and raised stencil is one of my favorite techniques

      I did use decoupage glue - I added some water to it.

    And can you use another type of cheaper layer under the chalk paint? could u use Modge Podge

    • @mycozynest
      @mycozynest  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Louise, I used paper napkins, only the top ply of a three ply napkin. Napkins are thin and easier to mold to curved surfaces. You could also use lets say magazine paper, but would have to use smaller pieces on curved areas. Yes, Mod Podge would work.

    I am a bit confused ,,,you said you waited for the first bit to dry, then put it on, but the other bits, you put straight onto the glue, also the first bit you said it was mixed with water the glue, but the next pieces not with water?

      I put watered down glue on the glass and wait a bit. How long I wait depends on the thickness of the glue layer (can be a minute or just 10 seconds). Next I place the napkin and smoothe it on the surface. Then I use pure glue on top of the napkin.
