- A year ago my friend was killed. This song wasn’t made to make anyone sad or angry about what happened, but was written as a reflection of Sam's positive impact on my life. I wrote this song right after I found out. Its hard to lose someone who helped me get through so much in life but I didn't want to keep feeling that emptiness. If it wasn't for him I don't know where I would be. Music has always been how I've coped with things and to anyone who's feeling this kind of pain I hope you hear this. There’s too much hate on this planet.
