Started a pond this Summer, and the water flow never seems to go the way I imagined despite studying and waiting. Check valve might be a needed tool since string isn't working. Thank you for this video.

I hated the look of pond foam I used on my waterfall. I took a propane torch and heated it after it dried. It melted the top so that it looked natural and blended with the rock.

how to find a leak in a pond with liner ? i have a small fish to it...the pond is 7 metres by 2

What if you have some small pinholes about 4 in above your normal water line by some boys using hot dog sticks to get frogs how do you find those holes?

if the holes are abobe your normal water line then the holes should have no affect on your pond.

How can you repair a leak in the bottom of a pond?

Knowing where the leak is, is the most challenging thing. If you know the leak is in the bottom of your pond, you will need to drain it and expose your liner. At that point you can use a liner patch kit for the repair. Good luck!

Yikes! That is a lot of foam and messy. Wouldn't it have been easier to pull up /readjust the liner above water level and backfill it with dirt/rock, Not only easier but more efficient and cheaper as you probably didn't even need it? Waterfall foam isn't made to be completely water proof but just suppose to help direct & guide most of the water where you want it. Water still gets through it and will leak...maybe not as much but it finds a way.
