They do that with everyone. Jericho is billed as 6'1" (same height as me), and having had the chance to meet him after a Fozzy show... he's 5'10" at the very most. And of course they won't stop calling Kane "seven feet tall" when he's 6'8" at the most.

micahfreakinhissong 5'6 somehow became the MINIMUM height for any person to be a "Celebrity." Mysterio used to be billed at 5'4. His REAL height. But they bill him at 5'6.
There's a Popstar in Korea who's like 5'2 but is also billed at 5'6 without shoe lifts.

Daniel Bryan for me is a big inspiration for me to be a wrestler just cause his height and his size he’s 5’8 185lb and he’s one of the biggest talked about wrestlers, it’s not about size or height end of the day it’s how much work you can put into it and if they see potential in you. I started wrestling training and i’m super excited. I remember i had a one day free training at a wrestling school and gosh it was tough but it made me want to do it more and learn more.

Preach Bryan Preach. Pro Wrestling is the hardest sport in the world to make a living in. All do respect to NBA,NFL and MLB they are tough sports but it is not like wrestling were you get drafted to teams with 30 players on it and are seen in college. You have to start from wrestling in backyards and small independent companies then you still have to train each day. On top of that it is a 365 day schedule there is no offseason. I love wrestling but it is the hardest sport in the world in my opinion.

C’mon now, i agree wrestling is a real tough sport, but there are far less people trying to make it in wrestling than in Football, Hockey or NBA, no matter how you twist it but cracking a roster spot in those sports is touhgher than get a break in wrestling, you don’t have to start wrestling at 6 yo to make it, when in most sports you have to train from very young age to even get a chance to make money of it, then you have to keep putting on work every year to get better, just to keep that spot you’ve worked around the clock to earn, and you play against people who are actually trying to hurt you, instead of helping you put on a good performance and be safe

In terms making money, drawing fans and raising TV ratings the Attitude era was the most succesful, WWE went from being a TV show to a mainstream company traded on the New York stock exchange, WWE merchandise sales were an an all time high and saw the rise of 2 of the biggest drawing wrestlers ever (Rock & Austin)
