That was such a pleasure to watch. Thank you so much for sharing such great tips and your beautiful location. The drip lines for the hammock are so important especially here in the PNW. You can guarantee you will be getting a little rain when you put up a hammock. The squirrel just cracked me up. I would have been a little freaked out if I woke up to him staring at me. We are thrilled to see you put your canvas bag to use. I think you are going to love it. Have a wonderful day ~Heather
These videos are awesome, you are educating me and others so well. I bought my first hammock, not brave enough to try it out in the cold, but come spring and summer, I will put it to good use, I made sure to watch you set yours up...and the drip lines...thank you.
Mate, really enjoyed your hammock camping video. Learnt a lot from it too. Thank you for sharing. And, Rusty sure looks to be your regular camp companion too. Keep them vids coming 👍🏼👍🏼
You definitely are a unique person most people take there dog camping but you take Rusty the squirrel LOL. What a magical overnighter in such a beautiful place.
Awesome man! Love your videos and the connection with the wildlife is the topping on the cake! Down at my camp the squirrels come and go. A few times they found their way into my cabin and some mornings one would be sitting on my sleeping bag watching me as I woke up! Thanks for explaining the driplines. Need those in Nova Scotia! I hope to get the hammock setup over the holidays. Keep those videos coming!
Rusty must have thought you had more food for him like you had last time you were out there, he was going to save you the trouble of putting it on the ground for him LOL
I love your camping videos keep them coming, also you are quite knowledgeable about the area you camp and the products you use. By the way your logo rocks 🇧🇸🇧🇸
I am out side camping out in my back yard. Glamping really my family thinks I am crazy oh well not the first time . Snow ❄️ is amazing I am really enjoying it thanks to you I am doing it
Rusty is awesome, what a smart little creature! That was the most articulate description of a fire lay I've ever heard, people could learn a lot from it. I would have probably used the same "set and forget" lay in that situation. Another lay I use often wherever twigs are abundant, which I'd call "more is better", is to make all the kindling burn first, quickly throwing on heaps of twigs with lots of air space. There are no tools or processing required, but it doesn't work on a small scale at all, that's when people make the mistake of burning the centre out of their fire, you know?
I am only at the beginning of your video and I always find the atmosphere of the friendly and warm nature that you bring us in each of your videos.Very good food and beautiful place 👍
I used to love that sound......the caw, caw, caw and then you would hear the whoosh, whoosh, whoosh of their wings as they flew off. I know exactly why you camp so much. It's the silence and solitude.
Great video. I always just jam my quilts and hammie into the pack without stuff stacks on the way out like you. But I have never left my top quilt in the Hammock. Gonna try that next time. Thanks for the tip! Keep up the good work!😎😎

@@Lonewolfwildcamping deffo, thanks to corona BS I had some free time and I came across your channel and another couple regarding bushcraft, I can watch it for hours, is so calming and relaxing that I had to do it myself and I love it, already planning my next solo trip. Winter camping means no people around so thank you very much, I rediscovered the joy of the outdoors like I used to do as a teen (I'm from North Italy, Lake Garda, I live in London, UK)
Pop Tarts. Man, I have a camping story for you. My dear younger brother passed away 17 years ago, but, he taught me how to go camping 24 years ago. We were best friends growing up and I'm so fortunate to have had those last camping years with him. I'd ask him what he was bringing for food on a trip. Pop Tarts, Lunchables, Chunky soup and Coors Light. We used to camp in our pickup trucks with ice chests and 4-wheel to our spots. How the times, camping gear and camp menu's have changed since then. You, my friend, are leading the outdoor/camping/tutorial/videography segment on YT and I just had to tell you, the Pop Tart mention stopped me in my tracks and made me smile reminiscing of the good old times. I haven't stopped camping... I love it... And, that's how I found your channel. This episode was epic. Finding a spot on the lake's edge, collecting firewood, teaching how to strike steel/cloth, drip lines, cooking over a fire (you ate HOW many steaks?!), and a little about Rusty and how to keep camp clean. I'm going camping this weekend, and I just might ditch the eggs/bacon and have Pop Tarts instead. Definitely bringing the Coors Light. ;) Peace, my friend. What an awesome time on the internet tonight. Pete - KI7LIL
