Hello! Im sure you will be perfectly fine on the island. The ferries are very frequent throughout the whole day, 24/7, so any move from and to the island will be no problem at all. Actually, if you think about it, the problem is with the Athenians who have no other choise but to stay and live in the city, whereas you will enjoy the best of the city *by choise,* and you will largely avoid the everyday traffic, the sound pollution of a large city, the light pollution during the night, etc. Regards and thank you both for making this video!

I think the south of Salamina is very nice and green, Aiantio and Selinia. Further, I would be prepared for some dark sides, maybe a little bit of rubbish in the cheap areas and a lot of concrete architecture. I wish you the best. 👌

One of the worst things when I was a little boy was when I spent the summers at my father's house with my grandmother and grandfather ... it was the visits of my grandmother's friends ... all old ladies of course.. In order not to give us the evil eye, when they said what a beautiful boy you are, they accompanied it with a light spitting.. It was my worst... Τoday i wish to be a little boy again to have the opportunity to see my grandparents again ..And my father us well... Who knows maybe someday in an other place ... Good evening. We used to have a house in Salamina in Psili Ammos. The island is mixed bag for me(because of the proximity to shipyards on the north east), but south west is good. There is a plan to connect Slamaina with Perama with a sub-thallasian road tunnel but it will be at least several years before it happens.

The only disadvantage living in salamina is that you always need to grab a boat. My sister lives in Resti so not to far from the main town. If you don't have a car, it's hard to move around. Plus, if there's a strike you are stuck inside? Also, the boat leaves every 15 min. If you miss it you need to wait and it takes 15 min to cross. It can be frustrating and expensive. That's the negative stuff. Other than this, the island has everything you want. You don't really need to cross.. I wish you and your family all the best in this new decision.. love from montreal
Καλός να έρθετε, σε πιο μέρος της σαλαμίνας βρήκατε σπίτι? Στην Σαλαμίνα έμεναν επί το πλείστον συνταξιούχοι αλλα τα τελευταία χρονια πολλά νέα ζευγάρια έρχονται μόνιμα όπως εσείς. Είναι πολύ όμορφα συνδυάζει χωριο με νησί. Τα σπίτια επί το πλείστον είναι 1-2 οροφων με μικρούς κήπους. Το βασικότερο σαλαμίνα είναι να έχεις δικό σου μεταφορικό μέσον μιας και εκεί η συγκοινωνία είναι με υπεραστικά λεωφορεία κοστίζουν αρκετά πιο ακριβά από τα λεωφορεία της αθηνας και δεν είναι ταχτικά. Εάν έχεις αμάξι είσαι άρχοντας. Στα καλά έχει τα πάντα πολλά supermarket, τις περιοσσότερες ειδικότητες γιατρών σε ιδιωτικά ιατρεία γενικά βρίσκεις σχεδόν τα πάντα χωρίς να χρειαστείς να περάσεις απέναντι για πειραιά και αθηνα.Από την σαλαμίνα φεύγουν κάθε μέρα το απόγευμα ψαροκάικα και τα ξημερώματα γυρίζουν με φρέσκο ψάρι. Έχει και η σαλαμίνα λαϊκές και όταν σιγά σιγά δικτυωθείτε θα βρείτε και τοπικούς παραγωγους οπωρολαχανικών να αγοράζετε πηγαίνοντας στο χωράφι τους καθώς και τσοπάνηδες για φρέσκο γαλα και τυριά. Εάν έχετε σχετικά μεγάλο οικόπεδο μπορείτε να βάλετε λίγες κότες και έναν κόκορα επιτρέπεται πολλοί έχουν για φρέσκα αυγά. Τα άσχημα τώρα, οι δρόμοι είναι χαλι μαύρο, τα σαββατοκύριακα καλοκαίρι, πάσχα και αργίες το νησί γεμίζει. Έρχεται πόλις κόσμος με αποτέλεσμα να υπάρχει μεγάλη κίνηση στους δρόμους, εάν δεν έχετε σταθερό internet και περιμένετε από το δίκτυο κινητής οι ταχύτητα του internet είναι τραγικά αργές. Τον χειμώνα έχει αρκετή υγρασία η αγορά ενός αφυγραντήρα είναι μονόδρομος και εννοείτε ένα κλιματιστικού για το καλοκαίρι. Χιόνι που θα δημιουργήσει προβλήματα πολύ σπανια θα ζήσετε σαλαμίνα. Ταβέρνες θα βρείτε αρκετές εννοείτε το καλοκαίρι ανοίγουν επιπλέον μαγαζιά και ναι έχει και παιδότοπους :) Αυτά πρόχειρα μου έρχονται στο μυαλό είναι πολύ όμορφα σαλαμίνα ειδικά για νέους γονείς που θέλουν τα παιδιά τους να ζήσουν πιο ελευθερα με καθαρότερο αέρα χωρίς εγκληματικότητα. Οι περισσότεροι έχουν μια μηχανή και ένα αμάξι. Με το μηχανάκι η το αμάξι πάνε από το σπίτι τους στην Κούλουρη,το αφήνουν εκεί περνάνε σαν επιβάτες με το ferry boat απέναντι με 1.20 euro εισιτήριο και από το πέραμα είτε περνούν τα λεωφορεία που τους πάνε στα metro νίκαιας και metro κορυδαλλού η στον πειραιά. Πολλοί έχουν αφήσει στο πέραμα το άλλο μεταφορικό τους μέσον για να πηγαίνοέρχονται στην δουλειά τους. Όλο αυτό γίνετε γιατί κοστίζει αρκετά το αμάξι με fery boat. Κάποια στιγμή ελπίζω σύντομα θα προχωρήσει το έργο για υποθαλάσσια σήραγγα που θα ένωσει το πέραμα με την σαλαμίνα αλλα μέχρι τότε ... υπομονή.

Με το καλο να έρθετε είναι πολύ όμορφα αυτή την περίοδο.
