    Very insightful and friendly to beginners, I hope you can make more videos on financial literacy. I'm in Sydney and started investing from last year, wish I could see your videos earlier.

    Hi Raymond, great video! been going through quite a bit of your videos lately.
    I had a question which I was hoping you could shed some light. I believe in one of your videos you mention you hold your stocks on Stake and you also have a position in VAS/VGS.
    Is there any reason you do not hold your VAS/VGS ETFs on Vanguard itself? Considering they only do a 0.1% mgmt fee (VAS) and 0.18% (VGS).
    I don't know if you know the answer to this question, but are the Vanguard ETFs you buy on Stake even CHESS sponsored? I was thinking the only benefit of buying the Vanguard ETFs on VPI is that they are CHESS sponsored there.

      Hey Shenny, glad you are enjoying the content.
      Vanguard only recently made changes to their platform such that they no longer charge fees on their ETFs. As I was already previously with Stake I didn't want the hassle of transferring my shares etc. If you're just starting to invest and only plan to invest into Vanguard ETFs then VPI could be a good platform to use since they don't charge to buy ETFs (although they do charge you when you it is time to sell)
      Stake is most definitely CHESS sponsored as well!

      Don't VPI. It charges more management fees.

    Hi Raymond
    Do you also suggest using Stake for Dollar cost averaging strategy? Or if there is any other cheaper brokers for DCA. Thank you, learns a lot from you as a beginner.

      Hey there, I personally use Stake for DCA as they are one of the cheapest brokers. Another alternative is CMC markets as they offer $0 trades under $1000 each day.

    can you suggest single app to invest in crypto and etf

    • @raymondla
      @raymondla  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      As far as I am aware there isn't a single app that offers both, but I'd recommend keeping them seperate

      @@raymondla Can you please recommend app for etfs and crypto in Australia? I was thinking for self wealth for etf, but have no idea for crypto

    • @raymondla
      @raymondla  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@moviesandshows5915 I personally use Stake for ETFs as you only pay $3 per trade versus $9.95 for Selfwealth. Although Selfwealth are great as I have used them in the past. I haven't done too much research into crypto so can't recommend one for that sorry.
