    What is the significance of total deformation??? You've got almost 20cm as deformation value at 3:54 sec, does it mean that the red colour zone is having maximum deformation of 20 cm or the entire propeller is having 20cm deformation

  • @SreeNivassrini

    Very good explanation. Why you use mid surface?whats the rationale behind using mid surface concept?

    • @ANSYS-India
      @ANSYS-India  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sree Nivas, we use mid surface to represent the constant thick walled parts, and to capture the bending behaviour more accurately. In ansys, as soon as you extract mid surface for any constant thickness walled parts, it automatically records the thickness, this thickness will be show when you do the surface meshing.

    HelloIm glad I can find these kind of videos, thank you so much. I would like you to present some references as I need to do a modal analysis for my ansys course and I cannot put as a reference a youtube video :S I don't know where to find that the natural frequency cannot be equal to the value in rev per second.

    I have a several questions:
    1. What about the multiples of the exciting frequency?
    2. Is every freuqency here relevant for the rotation of the fan? I mean there are modal frequencies for bending and other modal frequencies for torsion. I think the relevant eigenfrequencies here that might cause a resonance case for the rotation of my fan the torsional eigenfrequencies.

    thank you for your video, I would like to ask you about How can I do the natural frequency model for a non.
    Reflective boundary conditions for the soil surround the tunnel, so I can measure the natural frequency (free-free vibration analysis) of the model Without duplicating the measurements from the reflection of the wave, or ANSYS mechanical will understand by default that it is a non reflective boundary, so the wave will not reflect and it will go for infinity since the
    soil model is plan strain model? Please advise.
    Please note that I made a search and found that only ANSYS
    fluid can have this option for the user to choose the boundary
    conditions ( reflective OR nonreflective boundary). appreciate you help and
    support and I will wait for your respond. Thank you Khalid l dous

    Sir do you have any idea how to do modal analysis of structure under water in Ansys.
    as there we need to consider the Hydrodynamic added mass.

    • @ANSYS-India
      @ANSYS-India  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      One of the approach can be, you can do pre stress modal analysis. Create static structure analysis with pressure load, then do a modal analysis

    Why did you use mid surface? doesn't it affect the thickness of the rotor and hence the vibration response?

    • @ANSYS-India
      @ANSYS-India  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Chukwuka Nwobi Greetings!!
      Mid surface was used to use the shell elements, because the shell element capture the bending behavior more precisely compared to the solid elements like Hex and Tet

    you have not specified about element type, will it pick automatic or do we need to specify.please clear this

    • @ANSYS-India
      @ANSYS-India  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Greetings! !
      Raj the element selected will be automatic, because in workbench before you start the analysis, you choose the analysis type like static, modal, thermal and so on, due to this the relevant elements will be used by default for the mesh generation. But order of the element can be changed manually. If you are interested in knowing which elements are used then please see the output window after the solution is completed.
