  • When you are managing your body weight, a bathroom scale is not sufficient to properly monitor your progress. It can only measure your body weight, nothing more. With the Xaiomi Body Composition Scale, it can comprehensively monitor major body compositions such as body fat, visceral fat, muscle and bone mass, % Total Body Water, and Basal Metabolism in Kilocalories. A loss in body weight may mean a lot of things. It may be due to loss of fat, water, muscle or any combination of these 3. If the loss of weight is either due to loss of water or muscle, then this is not good and not the proper way to lose weight. With a bathroom scale, there is no way we can know this. But with the Xiaomi Body Composition Scale, we can readily know what body compositions are involved every time we lose or gain weight. This Xiaomi Body Composition Scale comes with free Mi Fit App that will help you record all the measurements from day one up to forever for easy reference and progress monitoring. Each measured body composition is also presented with reference charts for easy comparison. Any component that is out of the normal will be highlighted so that you can work on it to reach your target goal. You can also share this device up to 16 more users. With this Xiaomi Body Composition Scale, managing your weight is now more affordable and easily managed! For inquiry, please visit www.windsor.ph.

The body composition scale uses the principle of bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA) to measure the body composition of your body, including your body fat. To simplify this principle, the equipment has electrodes (shiny metal plates) on the top surface of the scale, usually 2 plates for the left foot and another 2 for the right foot. To measure, you must step on the scale bare-footed. The device will send a very small amount of electric current (which you won’t even feel it) from the electrode to your whole body through your bare feet. Since our body is composed of water, lean muscle and fat tissues, among others, the equipment measures the time for the electric signal to come back into its electrodes. If the subject has more fat tissues which conduct less electricity as compared to lean muscles, then it will take longer time for the signal to return and lesser time for the ones with leaner muscles. The equipment then uses a formula to compute for the % composition of the body in terms of fats, lean muscle mass, bone mass, etc. Usually this BIA scales is calibrated against a reference standard know as DEXA or Dual Energy X-ray Absorptiomery for better accuracy.
