Otras versiones, le he notado INSPIRADO, EMBRAVECIDO, COMO UN TORRENTE...Y SE NOTA QUE ESE DÍA ESTABA BIEN "PUESTO" DE LO QUE FUERA. Da igual, todas las versiones ME GUSTAN.
Damn!!! After half a century of listening to this man, he STILL surprises me! One amazing thing after another, never repeating himself, and invoking an energy and a vibe that just cannot be recreated.

I have never heard this. Been a Jimi Hendrix fan since i heard his shit on the FM, but I got a couple records after he had died and i was old enough to dig it! When i was like 13 in '73. This is so mellow yet heavy too and .. well hell the songs not over yet! Yea it's that great! Dennis 61 years Dallas/Austin, Texas
Ayee guud shit ! Same here tho 💪🏽 found out nd started listening to jimi at da same age of 13 I'm 19 now tho nd shiiit , I will forever be mindBlown everytime I hear Hendrix , ever since the first note I ever heard him play back den I've always felt his music in my bones 🤟🏽💨 can't even explain it really , who knows if anyone would understand haha but yo sending guud vibes from a town over down here in Arlington tx 🤟🏽🤟🏽💨 stay groovy bro ❗👽🤟🏽
I see that a Lot of people dont understant the "junkiest" ..😅😁 Definitivly my favourite version , its from another planet, divine ! Thank you so much for posting ❣️
I would say not the "junkiest" version but the most "bluesy-improvisational" Jimi at his best!! Been loving him since I was a 13-year-old kid who wanted to play like him....growing up in Frisco in the 60s and 70s there was such a great musical scene. First album I was introduced to was Jimi Hendrix Experience...and was hooked on him since. To ME, he is the greatest guitarist EVER.
This is the Ultimate Experience!!! No doubt about it.They are all absolutely amazing of course, but this is in the top five live performances of Red House!
Well - for all the 'junk' (and I know what you mean), great rhythm and vocals throughout. The great spirit never loses it, but talks more to us, under any interior conditions. Thanks so much for posting - amazing.
1 of the better known slow blues 💙 song 🎵 💙 🎶 👌 🙌 😑 🎵 I noticed right ✅ away this was a standard song 🎵 🎶 of his yes jimi did play the blues 2 OMG 1 21 2O23
Jimi was always improvise on "red house blues" on stage ,"junkiest" isn't very kind ,it's a version like an other ,the rythm section seems asleep tough ....Maybe everybody is drunk or stoned or both ,and so what ? Nobody's perfect ....He could have played that exactly like the studio version ,which is amazing ,i don't like that judgement : "junkiest " ,maybe they are tired too ,they often played two gigs one after the other ....
I had a European issue of "Are You Experienced?"which has a different song lineup than the US version, and it had a studio version of "Red House", which I've been unable to find online. It wasn't the version found on "Smash Hits", or a live version. I remember at the end Theresa little studio banter, I assume with Chas Chandler, where Jimi asks "How's that?", and Chas says "save that, you should put that on an album", to which Jimi responds "Hell yeah!"
I agree. Greasy, aka nasty, dirty. This is totally improvised as is the nature of blues in this context i.e. a live gig where you're playing the same blues tune or otherwise for the umpteenth time that month. That is how I interpreted what the original poster was saying when he said. "junkiest". I didn't take his comment as a negative. Those among us that are guitar players know how it is when improvising especially in a I IV V blues progression. Sometimes it just smokes. Everything comes together... the feel, energy, timing, tempo, tone, the licks, overall sound of the room, amp settings etc. is just right. It gels. Duane Allman used to refer to that collection of conditions as ""hittin' the note." On the other hand, sometimes it just doesn't sound right. It just doesn't happen due to the absence of one or more of the previously noted conditions. Consequently, same tune never sounds the same or comes out the same twice. This live version has some really good "twist of note" licks and phraising in it. Mitchell and Redding however, do many times tend to plod along on some of the live blues thats out there and on this one too but I can overlook that because of what Hendrix "said" here and my appreciation of just how good Mitchell was. First JHE I ever heard was "Fire" when first released c '67. Blew my 15 yr old mind to pieces. My favorite versions of Red House are two studio versions (only studio versions Ive ever heard) I have them on "Smash Hits" (vinyl) and if I remember correctly, "Blues". Two versions of the same tune possibly cut on the same day. Don't really know though. Basically the same tune & arrangement but with different nuances that make a difference. Stay healthy. Best to all...
@@6SL Yup, Fire was the shot across the bow of rock. I turned 16 in 67 and soon everything from Are You Experienced was just the best ever! And then it turned me from a drummer into a guitarist since no one in my garage bands were adventurous enough to tackle Hendrix.
Gibson Flying V which Jimi called his "Flying Angel." Incredibly responsive guitar, but the tone is more horn-like and legato, with a deeper bass sound, and not as conducive to the harmonic-saturated soundscapes available with a Strat.
@@Ubu987 No, this is the white Gibson SG, not the V. The V had a much darker heavy sound. Or it was a Black Les Paul because I've seen pictures of him playing one at the Fillmore in '68.
Mi mette tristezza anche a me. Non va dimenticare che, come Miles Davis, Hendrix proviene dal blues. Cerchi arte senza malinconia? Non è facile da trovare.
I love this song but jimi s out of his tree in a way hes taking the piss but wait then he goes into some fab stuff the band aint got a clue wats going on hes had enough shame
love all hendrix’s performances of red house ❤️
Me too!
It's My favorite Hendrix song!

All I can say is wow! Calling it the junkiest is a compliment of the highest degree. So laid back, pass me that doobie
It's been over 50 years but he still looks great.

Very nice improv....
That was he modus operandi live. Mitch is an excellent drummer. He shows out on this one !!!!

It's a real treat never the same twice , loving ❤️ this one
Wish I could have watched him play it live
"Junkiest?"
Sounds great to me!
Junkiest is like coolest for me.
Definitely using his Gibson here.
Prost...great version...truly real vibe

When I saw the tittle I was displeased and annoyed. But after listening, yes, you put the right label on there.
Great find.
I have just heard Prince’s live version (spoiler alert: fabulous) one of the other great guitarists!
great artwork must say
Its a photo. There are lots of versions of this particular one. I have one.
The Best version but I like them All
What a REDICULOUS thing to say... "Junkiest!!!!???" your kidding!
He's DONE some junky stuff here and there... this is fine!
This is NOT off IN THE WEST
For me junkiest sound like coolest

He didn't meant that it was a bad performance, he used junkiest as coolest, that's what I did understand.
My guess is that by 'junkiest' he meant that Jimi throws in "everything and the kitchen sink". And Mitch too..
Arch Angel. .Teach.
I get junkiest, that guitar is not in tune so some of it sounds strange but he defo settles into how to make the best of what he has and end up with 🔥

BB King’s style for sure!
wonder what substances were the old dudes on, meaning Bach Beethoven Mozart and following..
He is sure not playing a stratocaster here. That brings a peculiarity to the tune, but can never be called junk,no way. It is great for me

The junkiest was recorded with Winter
sounded pretty good to me...
Thar be Tone 😎
What concert this from?
Jimi burns down the house on this song...
What year was this and where was he playin????
Is this recording on CD or ????
Sounds like late 68 or early 69
It would be nice to have the info on when and where this was recorded.
Good questions!
Almost sounds like Jimi is playing with a slide. I guess he didn't need one!
🖤👁👁🖤👁👁🖤
Junkies? Listen to denver pop fest version I was there tripping balls everyone was including jimi and you can tell
And what are you trying to say
@@christainjustice5866 He's trying to say that the Denver Pop Fest version is more junky (relaxed, cool, funky) than this one, I guess.....

hammerklaviermusik lui lo era in particolar modo
È vero. La distanza tra lui e qualsiasi altro chitarrista mi sembra più grande di quella fra due (altri) chitarristi qualunque siano.
SG or Les Paul?
What do you think?
Date and location?
Filmore 68
Isn't this one of the Filmore recordings that was never officially released?
CorbCorbin yup
Fillmore 68'
Hans Brüder The Fillmore 68 I have is not this clear. How did it get cleaned up ??
Fillmore East 5/68.
Be easy on him. I think he meant funkiest! 😂😂😂😺
Jazz musicians can play classical music, classical musicians can not play jazz. The key word is (improvise).
